Valindra's phantom claw now invisible

zibadawazibadawa Member Posts: 1,266 Arc User
After the mod 9 launch when running Valindra's Tower, her Phantom Claw skill that holds a player in place until it has its HP depleted is invisible and untargetable. It can be damage, you just can't see it and your attacks will constantly be going off-mark if other mobs are around. Plus it makes noobs and the unattentive even more problematic because eventually she'll have clawed half the party because they don't friggin' listen to instructions to attack where the floating dude is after she says the tell-tale line.

This happened to me in a guild run of Valindra's Tower as well. Although no one could actually hit the invisible claw so people (especially me) were stuck floating and waiting to die. 3 CW's+1 DC+1 GF couldn't hit the invisible claw at all.

    Not even AoEs?

AoE's should work. My GWF is able to free people with Sure Strike and what have you, but it might be taking a lot longer than it otherwise would (I hadn't run VT with the GWF enough before that to have a good feel for how long it should take).

AOEs will free you, you can jsut not use targeted attackes on the invisible hand

AOE attacks do work as a CW, Icy Terrain (slowly) frees someone that is caught

This seems to have been fixed in the latest patch, despite it not being mentioned in the patch notes. Ran a VT yesterday, saw the claw and could attack it no problem.

It was actually fixed about three patches ago, however wasn't mentioned.
