Best build for IL

So im sitting around 2K IL, and from here it's a grind for gear and boons. I have leveled as a soul binder fury warlock, and I must say it's fun. I'm getting ready to start running epic tier 2's and afraid my DPS output will not be able to contribute to my group so my question is at 2K IL would I be better off switching to a damnation puppet build till I can get my IL higher which it seems is where the Fury locks become much stronger.

    So I post this as a follow-up, three weeks ago I decided to go ahead and respec and went with Veil Crowes damnation puppet build. Running solo content I have a little bit more survivability, having the puppet out helps kill faster and the life steal with its slight aggro pull does help, however the real noticeable difference was when it came time to run T2 dungeons, here I noticed I did 3 to 4 times more damage than I did running as a fury warlock. I'm just posting this as follow up if any other warlocks have the same question

    Yeah Fury is only better once you are geared up to the point where your personal damage as a fury outweighs that of your puppet. Fury is basically resrticted to near BiS

    Fury melts stuff once you get above 3.3 il...prior to that damnation is great, esp for solo

    Fury is great, specifically when two factors are present regardless of your ilvl:
    1: Massive party buffs from high level GF and DC coupled with Tyrannical Threat and Killing Flames + Murderous Flames.
    2: Fast proc companion with bonding 10+, sudden crit ring on companion (80-100% aggregate crit chance), perfect+ vorpal or dread.

    The assumption is, at your ilvl, you most likely are not geared well enough to outperform your puppet, even with party buffs. Therefore, spec into Soulbinder Damnation (Spiritfire and Wrathful Souls for sure) with 10 paragon points into Fury (Critical Promise and Burning Soul).
