I'm Back!...What Did I Miss?

So, I played NeverWinter extensively since its inception. I played in the beta, and definitely played when it was released.
If I recall correctly, I chose a Trickster/Rogue since that's what I chose for any RPG game. I think I reached lv 50 or 60 before I stopped playing. I wasn't good though because I was an idiot and spent all my status points on crit and no strength lmao (but them crits tho). I think there was this avatar or pet thing (EDIT: I meant Companion) that you would get if you logged in every day for a year, I believe. It was an angel I think. I don't remember if I stopped playing before or after I got it. Anyway, even though I never played it, it's still has been installed on my pc, just sitting there. I'll probably pick it up again, but I'm sure that this game has evolved over the course of three years. What are the dominating classes, did Tricksters get nerfed to oblivion? What's new, anything that was removed? Are the patches consistent and useful? Any kind of news would be cool to hear.

Edit*
P.S. Side note, what's an Arc User and should I feel special lol

Ahh, what's Mod9? Also, do you know which Companion I'm referring to? It was a gift for logging in for an entire year, if I recall correctly the companion was a healer type.

I know what companion you are referring to . You mean Angel of protection.

The companion you can redeem in Vault of Piety ( invocation store ) with Ardent coins. And yes it is still here.
Including the blue mount as well.

Please find the link bellow :

Ahh, you you can still get it to this day if you save for a year lol.
I think before it was a gift by logging in for a year, but I may be wrong.

To get the Angel of Protection you need to invoke each day for a year not just login. If you logged in and did not invoke you will not have enough ardent coins. The way you make AD now is completely different from over a year ago. In some ways good some ways not so good. But if anything it has reduced the cost of AD's for items on the AH for the better. Some new classes, you need to play with the builds to see what ones fit your play style the best. A whole bunch of other changes as well. You may want to hold your breath and read the forums. Don't take all of the posts as it was world ending.

In short, consider yourself a newbie and start from scratch. Almost everything you knew are changed.

No, it wasn't ever a gift. It was just something you could purchase after earning a years worth of coins. You had to earn the coins, and had to choose to spend them to get the pet.

Yea, I've been reading the patch notes, things have definitely changed in three years lol. I might as well start from scratch like someone suggested

Yes. TR was good for pve before mod2. With great single target dmg, TRs were always on bosses.
After that it was replaced by the offtank GWFs which has better single target dmg interestingly. And much better aoe dmg.

If you dare to say something against it then a specialized GWF QQ task force is appearing on forums instantly,

    3,,,2,,,1,,,go...

    This OMG This

Did the same thing with my DC and hated my toon when i came back after a long break(left during feywild came back just before Elemental evil)
keep the toon as an alt and only invoke on it until you get the hang of the new dynamics read alot of TR builds. my bad i got frustrated and nuked my dc before i got my sigil. we all learn things lol.
start over with a new toon even same class if you want but omg start over. best thing i did.

now i have 3 toons and love the different play styles they use.

have fun and grind grind grind....lol

Truly plastic? Of all the classes I find it the most slow and clunky, at least GFs can count on Into the Fray and powers are more 'dynamic'. :*

No. I don't find it slow and clunky as I change my play style (from GWF) to make him works more 'efficient' and more fun.

I mostly solo with this toon and this toon has not really battle tested in party setting much.
He did that once as an emergency bubble provider for the guildees who were already in eToS facing the last boss and no better OP/GF was online.
i.e. a "not so good tank is better than no tank at all" situation. I consider he did well enough although I am not really a good bubble provider (as I don't use bubble during solo).

In solo, I don't fight one group but groups. For me, it is kind of fun to fight 20+. Kind of fun to pull all mob within the whole mini-dungeon to the end and fight them all in one shot. It was not slow comparing with my other weak toon that needs to fight one group at a time. In mini-solo dungeon, he can door to door on his own although he is far from a good OP.
