Transcendent Vorpal

Quick question. Can anyone confirm whether or not the Transcendent Vorpal enchantment is working properly? I've heard some say anything higher than a Perfect Vorpal isn't working. Has anyone confirmed this? Thanks

Higher than perfect isn't worth the ad/rp even if it worked

I read in another thread that the 2% enemy debuff on the pure vorpal was actuall causing a 2% buff instead, but the transcendent vorpal was working correctly. Personally, I'm staying with the perfect vorpal until I either hear something official about it or have enough AD to spare to just try it out myself.

Well maybe not the stats but if you want to max out your total item-level that is definitely worth it or selling it. It's never wrong to upgrade a vorpal to Transcendent. My 2 cents...

Had my transcendent since mod 6. Worth the IL bragging rights, other than that perfect will do, but the debuff on top of a debuff/buff cleric is noticeable.

But how much of that is contributed to the Vorpal? I would say most of what you notice it the buff/debuff cleric doing their job. Add a Tactician GF...and most runs are unstoppable.

To bump this, is there any confirmation if the pure is still bugged? I've heard the same as most has that trans works but pure does not. Moderators can you get validation on this? It's a significant amount of rp and GMO's from perfect to trans.

I'd vote 'best answer' on this post. All the posts I've read from ltsmithneko leave me with the impression that this player is both a helpfull and well informed person.

Any developers care to comment? If I remember correctly, I had read this was fixed slightly after Mod6 was released on computer . Was only broken for a month or two in other words.

On Pc, but they do kinda forget quite a few broken things left in the xbox version that was fixed in PC.

Well let's hope it's not bugged. I forgot about it, and didn't add any extra refinement points into it after reaching pure. Would cost another 700k AD to buy thaums and Cward to upgrade outside double refinement

With the vorpal enchantment being as popular as it is and the correct logic already existing in other files, which should allow a programmer to do a relatively simple file comparison and copy/paste over the incorrect code, I would think this issue would be an excellent target from a 'bang for the buck' perspective of a programmer's time once a programmer can be freed up to work on bug fixes.

I don't care if it's bugged, I rock a trans vorpal for the item level and it also flashes and sparkles beautifully, especially with my trans negation :-)

With that combo you probably do rock, but I'll have to slug along with my paltry perfect vorpal until I can scrape up the ADs to upgrade it to a trans.

It would be really nice if we could hear an official comment on what if any plans there are for getting the pure vorpal patched. I'm hoping that Andy or Kreative will notice this and help us find out what the official status and plans are from the Devs point of view.

I wouldnt bother, it will probably be nerfed in the next update along with the lostmauth set we have all worked so hard to upgrade.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that just sounds like a negative speculation to me. I read the patch notes for the Maze Engine on the PC and do not recall any mention of the Vorpal or the Lostmauth set getting nerfed.

Back to topic:

This would be a great opportunity to open the lines of communication with the players. The Vorpal enchantment is a very popular enchantment and any info that the Devs or Wizzards could give us on the status of the Pure Vorpal would help a large number of players.
