Dusk Gear question.

Where are the rest of the Dusk armour pieces found besides the head and top found in the trade bar merchant?

    The feet and arms cost $. The feet are in lockboxes and the arms are in a 1700 Zen bundle called Grazilaxx Bundle.

    @zephyriah

    Or AD if you save up(right now it will run you around 700,000 AD for both). Well worth it Imo, the set bonuses alone are worth it. But the drowcraft armor is very similar(don't like the set bonuses as much though).

    Not really worth it if you have DragonFlight, as well as not needed for the raid or skirmish. Maybe the epic one will give us a reason to wear it other than transmutes. :3

    As zephyriah said but one thing to know the boots are random type(out of two different sets) for your character class so I would get the boots first then get the rest off the type you got from the chest(20 key bundle).

    Or just buy the chest armor and helmet from the trade bar store and then get the drowcraft gloves and boots from the mantol-derith armor vendor. The first two set bonuses are the best the third is only for movement while in your guild stronghold.

    Straight up its a downgrade from dragonflight for my CW.. Or at least initially feels like it. I've got feat, chest, and head and my il went down 10pits in addition to the 30 lost when the +4 rising recovery ring was equipped. But hey! I can run really fast across the stronghold now..but not in the new zones and skirmishes..which the gear came from...and would be really useful for. Cause cw's are slow..and those wells keep drying up on me.

    Side note: is there any place we can find a list of things affected by "Underdark mount and companion affinity." My google machine appears broken.. Couldn't even find a decent explanation of what it does.

    If you have it, certain critters get better bonuses. For example:
    Gas bag mount gets +20 stamina, rather than +10
    The mindflayer pet gets you double the currency bonus
    Etc.

    @ltsmithneko

    True, I totally agree with that.

    @telorydain yeah, I get that, it just seems like only a few things are affected by it. Dunno, going to take something considerable to make me consider parting with the snail...and that double currency thing is funny given ichors capped for the week.

    Still don't get that movement buff in stronghold only...

    Should point out that the advantages to Drowcraft really shine with Black Ice Shaping to unlock the better sets. With a control wizard it is entirely possible to get power and Crit on every piece of armor using dusk/drowcraft.
    Dragonflight armor for cw is trash for most builds..

    Rumor also has it that the mod appropriate Underdark lockboxes have a box inside that drops pieces of Dusk armor, like the ensorcelled arsenal but I think specific pieces per crate.

    Yea, after posting last night I went in and looked at the Black ice shaping. Seems to be decent for drowcraft. Hadn't noticed any dusk, but I need to upgrade the forge, and it was late..might have just missed it. Before the server issues last night, I picked up Dusk head/bp/boots..and the initial impression was a resounding meh. The Drowcraft will take a little time to pick, up as Im going twisted, instead of burning. Just seems like this gear is a completely lateral, if not backwards move in this expansion..even including the set bonus's.

    The drowcraft gear was intended to be lateral. I believe to create diversity in options and provide an additional set bonus option. Although I agree it is underwhelming. Had the dusk gear been lateral and not a slight step down I would have considered it for the potential with affinity bonus. Mixing and matching is not much of an option either since for the sw at least the loss of set bonuses further discourages making a change from dragonflight.

    Regarding elemental drow vs dusk debate for cw's....
    Here is a great guide for MoF's, which break down the stats of the gear, he's using the elemental version for comparison.

    http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/neverwinter/#/discussion/1202467/master-of-flame-renegade-guide-burn-with-me/p5

    The comparisons are on the last page(5) with combos broken down, and summed.

    Honestly, I'm kinda at a loss..it all looks like junk,where your giving away more than recieving, at least on the important stats. hopefully I'm missing something..

    I main a master of flames, I'm finding the best thing to do is decide what stats are important for you and do whatever you can to stack those. For instance, I'm stacking combat advantage bonus/control strength, #1 power/crit, #2 lifesteal, #3 recovery (ArPen is where it's needed). I literally don't care about any other stat for my build. So I toyed aroubd with the idea of Dragonflight Gloves, but ultimately decided 2 pieces of elemental drowcraft and 2 pieces of Dusk for the power /crit and 5khp 1k power 1k defense in party was the best option.

    Once you know what you are going to stack take a good hard look at your artifacts and ask yourself if they really give you the stats you want. If not, change em. This website is a great resource for knowing what you need to get http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Artifact After that look at the stays your artifact gear gives you and make any changes you need to there.then look at your armor. Finally look at enchantments to shore up weak points or amplify what you want. For my build, I'm running all black ice in offense and all dark in defense.

    The most important question though is what do you want the character to do? Barring Epic Demogorgon which I have not tried, I can't think of a single thing end game wise that is hard enough to really push you to upgrade your to on past IL 2500 or so. Not saying it isn't a good idea if you can do it, just that there isn't content that requires it if you have a decent team.

    Yeah, I hear you and to be honest, am probably heading in the same direction. i was about 3041IL But now due to the new gear, down to 3005, with a bit of a hit to the power. As far as the toon goes, it would just be nice to see progress, interesting things, gear which is actually desirable. It's as if we are almost there...but not yet.
    Ps: that zone restriction on the drow just gets on my nerves...mostly because, I'm kinda slow..
