OMG, that's infuriating. really infuriating. I was upset but patient with the "coward" move (see what I did there?) but now this too? I really thought it was just a mistake. I have nothing better to do.. but I'm still becoming alienated here. I don't like being treated like HAMSTER and this game is treating me like HAMSTER. Honestly I left Destiny for less than this.

it's not a matter of "erhmahgerd, they moved my cheese" it's a matter principle. Integrity, respect and what not. If you tell us something we should be able to bank on it. I don't like being lied to.

Two problems with this:

1) They said, specifically, that they moved the Double XP to March. I just checked the calendar, and it's not there. There's double refinement and double prof resources, but no double xp.

2) This is arbitrary and stupid. Moving parts or none, double xp could not POSSIBLY affect the game so adversely they'd just up and remove it.

But, I'm not here to debate. I'm just going to say f**k NW for a while. I sincerely do not have the time to grind up 400 ichor/week (I know it doesn't take but a day or two of grinding, but my time is THAT limited as late) and I'm sick of getting gipped on lockboxes (I'm VIP and occasionally spend money to open boxes - I fully admit that is a sucker move and that I am stupid for having done so). So, yeh, I'm gonna put it down for a bit, I think. I might turn it on once in a while to check on my daily key drops or whatever, but eh. Barely any point these days.

Heres the kicker...

Yes, we got kinda screwed on this and that sucks. I too was waiting for this to level my GF from 60-70 as theyre just too boring to play in PvE and the grind is killer. But here is where it gets fun. Double refinment was NOT on the calendar at all before MOD 8 dropped. They changed up the event rotation. So with everything going on with the TB fun, some didnt notice this little change. x2 RP comes around out of nowhere at a time where the only way to get c wards is via the ZEN market for 1000 ZEN or 9.99. Oh wait, they discounted ZEN. Cheers. If this game wasnt so fun I would have dropped this HAMSTER like a bad habbit after this stunt

Everyone I know was saving up their kits and getting ready to become more addicted with another alt to 70 and repeating all the $ sinks. Their loss, but I'm guessing March 8th is when this will all occur now to try and get us not to play The Division. Instead making sure we love their game and don't want to quit, they'd prefer to try and force people to not play something else if they want to progress here lol. Shows how much confidence they have in their game.

They haven't posted the March events on the calendar yet so that's why.

The other events would have distracted people from the x2 RP event they replaced it with next weekend.

x2 XP would mean people would just spend time leveling characters.
x2 AD would mean people would be able to exchange for Zen and not have to buy it.

Plus they wanted the weekend free of events to be able to handle stuff like what's happening now.

To be honest, with the Zen sale this weekend, I will be buying Zen, but not in support of the Devs. but because here, the tax on item sales is high and any opportunity to mitigate that tax needs to be taken.

I'm a veteran of MMOs and the **** the financial depts. of the Devs. pull so I always have contingency plans for the long haul.

So in the event I choose to keep playing, I can do so with an end goal in mind that mitigates the inconveniences.

Now watch, they'll put on a "SPECIAL SALE" for the inconvenience...like we want to spend MORE money on this game after they screwed us out of the double xp we had planned for. Looks like I'm spending the weekend not touching this damn game. Call it a protest cuz I had all weekend planned around the double xp to push to 70 now they'll be at least 1 player short and I HOPE I'm not the only one that doesn't touch it because of this. Good job HAMSTER. A heads up would've been nice!

This is why I have spent zero actual on this, and don't believe anything at all until if and when it happens. Patience is also a great thing to have, because clearly many of the various groups running this know less than nothing. Plus many of the sections also don't know what anyone else is doing. They don't talk to each other ahead of tiem, why us? I mean, we all know that when they change things, we might not know what exactly is going to break, but that there are going to be things that break whenever they make any changes. Such as, the PvP "matchmaking" and horrible overbalance issues that only change from one terrible lopsided garbage way to another. That isn't the mark of people that actually know anything, so why expect otherwise? So, just don't expect anything, or else you'll be sure to be disappointed. One of the many reasons many of us play far less than we used to and don't get in a rush. It ain't worth it.

So uhm....where's our Double XP?
