Does any of you use this class feature? Is the damage boost reliable or not? The thing of "hit from behind" is never clear for me... Whats exactly behind? For example ring of cowardice pretty much procs always behind/from the side. I would expect it to work always but when i m really in front of the enemy

The only application I find for it is on the final boss of ETOS, since in that dungeon you can usually rely on a tank keeping the boss facing one way while you chew it up from the back. However, it means giving up either aspect of the serpent (which is borked for melee encounters anyway because of how it interacts with Careful Attack) or crushing roots. The latter is obviously unwise if you're the group's controller. Using it against dragons is just asking to be killed by tail swipes. No idea how exactly Cryptic defines 'behind.' It's one of the thousand things they don't tell us.
Seeker Vengeance is only "useable" when you unlock offhand of this class feature. Gushind Wound making loop what works on this DoT. Encounter making also DoT as crit, so you are able to trigger many times Lostmauth(in good moment like 30 triggers per second). Truely its only viable in solo campgain because if allies gonna to hit enemy then loop break. As i said, Gushind Wound making any DoT to crit but not works with Red Glyphs, Lighting. If you have enough time then try Bilethorn with this combination. Crushing Roots funny works with this combination, you just stay behind enemy and he is permadazed but its known by mod6.
yes i checken yesterday how it works with gushing...pretty awful in party. but i feel like the damage boost from the class feature is cery reliable somehow
Unless this feature does not work as described, i dont see what the problem with it would be. It's so easy to get behind the enemy, especially if you have a tank. Plus you now give the party combat advantage.
thats what i m doing, for example constricting in a group of mobs, shift behind them and plant grow their asses. keeping the whole time this rotation i sense more dps but there are really no ways to check this fast. And i lost my researcher mentality at least for nw.
Behind is the physical back of the monster, i.e. their side that doesn't have eyes looking at you.
If you want to check it, go to a dummy (icewind one is easy), have lostmauth set, gushing wound, turn on the offhand. Crit gushing wound, and if you see a fkton of numbers then you're standing behind the mob.
It's a good damage feat, takes some skill to keep good uptime on it, but depends on your party. If they don't have enough CC you will need to use Crushing Roots, if you don't need CR then use SV. I also tend to use SV more at boss fights.
If you want an example, let's say you have a party at eCC - HR/GF/DC/CW + something else. GF takes boss aggro, and since you're not (hopefully) dumb enough to be standing in front of the boss, you're probably right behind him to avoid his red HAMSTER. At the Traven fight, this is where SV is actually really really easy to upkeep since you'll be in this position most of the time, and you don't really need CR most of the time in this fight because the daze duration isn't long enough to be effective on the mobs.
Also reading NW forums again after a month and seeing all the new arguments and stupidity makes me laugh.
Have you idea how Seeker's Vengeance DoT stack? Sometimes indicator of this offhand bonus showing like 3-5 stacks. I dont know its only UI bug or rather glitch.

seeker is definitely worth it at least in pve. I ran different elol with this set up (serpent + seeker) and my damage is definitely higher. the main disadvantage is that i need to play a "spinning around" HR : image me at the scorpions dancing around it no stop...which after a while is kinda tiresome and may result in random deaths. (and people say gwf needs skill... mhm)
Is the off-hand artifact power for seeker's working for anyone? I tested on dummies, dragons and many mobs. I also used ACT and did not see a DOT proc even one time from using it...
Also wanted to note that (on dummies) anyway I could not detect any noticeable damage increase from seekers. So maybe there is no "back" on a dummy??
Have you equipped even this class feature? Look on my video and use Gushind Wound in this same rotation like me. Finally i know how to "stack" this DoT. I though that this gonna to make more triggers but its only UI glitch made by spamming RoA.

Yep, I have the class feature equipped. In addition I have the "free" elemental off-hand weapon with the Seeker's Vengeance feature unlocked and equipped. Which artifact off-hand are you using?
Also wanted to note that I have seeker's vengeance at rank 4. I did get it to proc one time today in testing, using rapid strike... But only one time, which is very odd. There must be some bug related to rank 4 and maybe the elemental weapon offhand...
it works everything ok, if the tick do not trigger themself just walk straight to the dummy and further until you see the crazy numbers. btw its just show off vs a dummy...doesnt work like that in pve and damage cant be amplified by debuffs.
I am not sure I understand what you mean by "walk straight to the dummy"? Which artifact off-hand are you using? I am wondering if its a bug related to specific artifact maybe? I stand directly behind the dummy, with class feature (and artifact power), and use my at-wills and it will not proc.
Has anyone else with the "free" elemental off-hand gotten this power to work?

The most important thing in life is to be yourself. Unless you can be Batman. Always be Batman.
