So I was wondering how much of a difference using the Owlbear Cub (purple) vs my Ioun Stone of Radiance (blue) would be.
Using my Prot OP, I did 3 runs of Witch Fen with the Ioun Stone active and then I did 3 runs with the Owlbear active. I ran through the dungeon in the same path and fought the same groups in the same locations to try and minimize differences. The only difference with companion gear is the Ioun Stone used a Girdle of the Loyal Master vs the Owlbear used a Talisman of the Loyal Master; everything else was the same (runestones and other gear).
My Crit chance is currently 45.2% and I didn't make any changes for this test:

The Owlbear cub runs were shorter by about 14% than the Ioun stone runs.

Since u didnt post any time-ish numbers, all what i can say from those acts, is that owlbear dealt 12% or so of ur total dmg, and assuming u didnt got some critical dps loses for sloting it, it prolly also made run faster why those 10% or so. With, overall, is a rly good thing.
Without owlbear ur average numbers of DJ used was 27, with it, it was around 23 or so, if use this as indicator run was 15% shorter (coz u had no time to trow those additional DJ)
Thats just quick analize i can give, and it seems owlbear is pretty damn effective dps wise.
