Does anyone know if the TR class skill oppresive darkness works now or is it still worthless.
Thanks in advance.

Hits for like 500 damage so not really....

It works fine. It's still useless, except maybe for some pvp build that focuses entirely on piercing damage.

As long as you are able to maintain combat advantage, its a powerful supplement to damage. (Cough, whisperknife, cough).

In the same line of thought, it becomes borderline cheesy in pvp.

I focus entirely on piercing damage, so every hit of CoS is like 1800 damage from shadow opportunity + 700 damage from OD =2.5k each hit and i can deal like 15 hits while stealthed.

How do you get 15 hits in one stealth? Depletion limits you to, like, 5 hits of anything.

he probably chose Gloaming Cut and all feats that extend stealth duration such as the one where your stealth bar goes up if you roll/dodge

He specifically said cloud of steel. And I don't think the dodge thing applies while *in* stealth, only when out of it and without a full stealth bar. I could be wrong, though, I rarely actually dodge while in stealth these days.

It adds up to your overall damage. In my case 5% in PVE, it's unresistible damage so yes, for me it's worthed maxed out.

It's a terrible feat in PvE.

Yes, dodge also applies it during stealth.

you pump the feat full with 5 points (increase stealth bar when you dodge/roll). this gives +10% stealth everytime you dodge. if you also put boons, and feats into extending your stamina you can dodge and roll many times before stamina runs low, and it regen's real fast. the result is you can stay in stealth almost indefinitely, and if you use gloaming cut as your at-will it extends it even more with the right build. it's like perma stealth.

Thats, right, but you can't deal damage that way, and you lose more stealth than gaining from that roll. I make my build to be perma-stealth with maximum pierce damage:
Vengance Pursuit can be casted serveral times, not sure if it's a bug or something but it can be casted up to 7 times, and sometimes even refills my stealth bar if i throw it in my enemy's back, maybe because a bug with the feat "Return to the Shadows" so doing this rotation:
x4 CoS, x7 Vengance Pursuit (stealth bar gets refilled), x4CoS, x1 Shadow Strike (this encounter refills my stealth again), x4 CoS, then i personally choose Impact Shot to be a fully ranged build to activate Saboteur's lasts feat which refills stealth when hitting someone with a encounter power and gives 20% more damage to encounters, to finally end the rotation with x4 CoS, if the rotation is done perfectly, it should also be Dazing the enemy almost as often as perma stun.
You can see with this build of mine that i can throw 24 ticks of pierce damage with bug, around 18 without bug, and every tick can deal around 2k to 2.5k with pierce damage alone while fully stealthed and ranged, now theres other damage coming from normal damage which is ever critical since is always in stealth and additional combat advantage.
I was thinking making a video showing this build to show how it works in practice.

Not sure how you get VP to fire off like that. Mine does not. You use it once to throw dagger, 2nd time to teleport and stun, and then it goes into cooldown. Just went to dummies to test. I cannot fire off multiples unless I am missing something.

VP can be cast again before the first hit lands, ad infintum. I did a bug on this so long ago that I don't remember when I did it. It doesn't score damage but I was not aware that it would trigger RtS as I never tested that.

Sometimes it can be casted serveral times, sometimes can not, but as far as i can tell, it triggers Oppresive Darknes every time you press a key within a second, so spamming it like if there was no hell, can stack this feature like 15 times, each hit for 600 - 800 damage pierce damage, so it's not that useless for me, i can't record a video right now, because i retrain myself to test another pierce build, but soon i'll show you guys how i do it.
