Refine of artefact weapon using another artefact weapon

Hi,

I have a question concerning artefact weapon upgrade,

I have old Hrubis of the Golden Dragon fully filled. Couple of days ago i managed to get Burning Pact Blade. Is there any way to move points from 1 artefact to another without loosing some of them during this process? My Burning Pact Blade is green. If i will try to refine it with the Hrubis, im receiving info that i have 3,6 mln points "over requirement". But what exactly this info means? That only points needed for next upgrade (from green to blue) will be used and the rest will be lost? Or mabye those points will be preserved and after paying for the upgrade (when item will be blue) i will automatically be able to perform another upgrade (to epic without providing new points)? How exactly this process works?

    You will only get around 80% of the RP invested in the old weapon transferred to the new weapon. And that is with the double RP bonus.

    To clarify: Each level takes X rp to get to. At that point, you are stopped and have to Upgrade. If you go over the level needed, that RP is NOT lost. Once you upgrade, that RP will still be there and your new item will automatically advance to the appropriate level.

    Numbers fictional cause Im lazy, if it takes 20000 RP for the Blue upgrade, 100000 for Epic, and 200000 for Legendary. If you dump an artifact worth 300000 refinement points into a fresh artifact, you'll get 300000 in to the new item. But you'll need to do the blue upgrade and the purple upgrade. You'll be just short of the Legendary upgrade.

    You will always lose roughly 20% of the RP you put in to the previous item. Those rubies won't sell themselves.

    You cant crit refining artifact gear into artifact gear.

    Yes you can. I critted on my level 60 cloak to level 70 cloak. It went from Legendary to Legendary.

    Chars: CW, DC, GF, GWF, HR and TR.

    You can - had my level 35 OP Mace into the new Burning Mace and it cam out level 36... Crits are real.

    Just to avoid confusion, Criting on refinement is random and has nothing to do with your personal Critical chance stat.
    I know this sounds funny to 90% people reading this, but I had a person who thought having high crit chance actually helps.

    I have not heard of anyone getting a weapon crit since the Always Double Refinement flag was put in. I believe it was removed from weapons, but I can't find any post confirming that....so I guess it might still be possible. Would be a lucky crit for sure :)

    I had a crit on my OH, and a lot of my guild members also had crits. But as is with everything in this game RNGesus decides who gets it.

    Nope, I had the Mod 6 Elemental MH and OH at legendary and when I got the Drowned set I refined them and both crit, going straight to legendary as well.
