Paladin or Hunter Ranger?

Should I make a paladin or hunter ranger.
I like to play as a leader who can smite my foes. I also like to fight multiple people at one time, and I like multiple buffs, mechanics, and encounters.

If you want to think you're good without actually having a whole lot of skill then make a Paladin.
Super Saiyan God- TR Lvl 70 (PVP)
Unleash The Wolves- HR Lvl 70 (PVE)

Shouldn't the control wizard also be an option for what you're looking for? you can take down mobs with a good CW as well as HR or paladin. there will be a pally nerf soon iirc. they announced it for PC so that means we're next. (at least that's what I'm remembering. I'm old though so sometimes that's questionable. LOL)

I know you play clerics from other posts you made. You might enjoy a healing paladin, often referred to as a Healadin They are a bit tougher to play than the standard damage dealing types or bubble pally. When soloing, you will need to buff and heal yourself as your damage (though higher than a DC) will not always be enough on its own.

Unfortunately, at this time, Healadins are not popular with dungeon runners and you may see an increase in the number of kicks you face once you get higher level. Players want Bubble Pallys in the runs. While leveling, it should not matter much.

a little off topic but I've been surprised at the reaction my hasty gets from some paladins. I've never had altercations with any other kind of player but every now and again I just get a weird reaction from paladins. we don't need you. you don't deserve to play. get out. lol. I'm like really? you're a bubble pally and you don't want a hasty? one tried to kick me and the group kicked him instead. It's happened a few times. I don't understand it.

People will kick for the strangest reasons. If there were 2 bubbles, I can see it. The combo with haste is not as important, but is still beneficial. It can be faster to run with more DPS and skip a healer though.

no, it hasn't been more than one pally. some sort of epeen thing is the best I can reckon, I don't need no stinking DC to be boss.

some pallys are able to perma-bubble under the right circumstances
-and therefore dont "need" a haste- but its always good to have the Dailys clock faster...
although some groups prefer more DPS to a heals option...
_ I do both on my Pally/ like both- and wouldnt kick one... the cue actually looks for clerics in the case your referring to, and it may happen more now that many are at the top of thier builds...

to answer the OG question, I have a LVL70 HR at 2600 IS and he is BOSS at controlling mobbs and the foxes cunning "miss" is always a help in groups- a high DPS that can buff the party too- and has an auto-dodge for everyone (BAM!!!)
-not much love for HRs last mod- but respectful now...
lots of button pushing for HRs-switching stances ect...- 6+ options on encounter powers...
-although if you like to heal and do support - a pally might be better fit

A HR is a lot of fun to play after level 50 (Fox Cunning encounter is available ). Trapper being the best for PvP and solo PvE but Archer is viable for PvE if you are in a good guild/group to run dungeons.

On a side note I ran ELOL with a Healadin, GF(tank ), and 3 HR of which two were Archers no wipes about 4-7 minutes longer than a usual run.....but a ton of fun.

If you're going the HR route then Trapper all day, every day.
