Kessel's does not alwas require whole party to start boss fight

I was doing Kessel's this evening and went by the campfire before the boss fight. I the couple of seconds I was there, the animation started and 2 of the 4 of us were locked out of the battle. A Paladin finished the fight very slowly.

    I experienced the same thing in ELoL a couple of days ago. Was any of your team mates not actually part of your team? Because that was the case for me, my first guess was that the non-teamed person had activated the countdown and since he wasn't in a team, he could start fight without me and my other team mates just happened to get inside circle before countdown was over.

    There were 4 in my team, no fifth. Only 2 of the 4 got to participate in the fight. Since there was an immortal Paladin involved, I had to grind my teeth waiting for him to solo Kessel. Took forever.

    Your party had 4. But are you sure there wasn't a fifth person there who wasn't in the party? This happens sometimes, and seems to generate a number of errors with bosses--the last time it happened to me in Kessel's the boss didn't even spawn the first time around. The beholders were there, but there was no Kessel. We had to "GM Help"-murder ourselves (is that what GMs do to help people? Kill them?) and try again.
