DPS Clerics nerfed

2800 ILS - 12k power 8k CS. Prior to strongholds with the same equipment I routinely hit for 200k and as high as 320k.

Since strongholds My normal crit is 90-110k with a high of 155k.

Why make DPS cleric an option if the developers don't want anyone to run it.

    AP is 6500 was same before and after strongholds.

    Nah there would just be fewer clerics. You should make one and sit around all day unable to do dailies and just wait to carry someone through dungeons.

    Also 2800 ilvl cleric here, I cannot see a noticeable difference, maybe we are using different spells? I hit as hard as before, maybe official input would shed some light on this.

    I haven't noticed a difference either, as someone else said. I run my clerics just fine.

    But, 6500 Armpen is way too high for a dps cleric. Seems like some wasted points there. I have 4494 on my DPS cleric, with feats, boons, etc still hit 55% RI on the stat sheet. I don't care about maxing at 59.5 at this point, but even if I did I would not need more than about 5000 Armpen.

    People need to stop bashing dps clerics, dps clerics are fantastic, they debuff the HAMSTER out of mobs so that any class can wreck enemies a new butt hole. :$

    It's not that simple. Clerics don't need to heal to play most content. Other players need/want clerics to heal because they need/want the heals to play some of the content.

    Many of us that run clerics use healing and dps characters. I run all 6 possible combos at various times. When the game or stats get changed, I will still have viable characters. A cleric, who wants to run dungeons and/or PvP to some extent, should likely spec to heal, but for most other content a DPS spec is superior. Buffing/Debuffing/Damage cleric is good for skirmishes, HE's , Tiamat, Dailies/Weeklies and general open world content. While a Buff/Debuff/Heal build also works for some of those things, without the ability to deliver a killing blow, rewards(Great success) and DHE/Fey's are all but non-existent. So, the DPS build can farm for the healer and that healer will then be able to help others through dungeons and whatever.

    I wouldn't pug a dungeon with my DPS/Buff/Debuff cleric, but I will do almost anything else with her.

    The only reason for a dps cleric is to run your dailies and for questing. They are NOT any good for pvp or dungeons.

    Find it funny that everyone official that has been asked to let us know if something happened nerf wise, although active on forum still ignoring us hah. Makes me sad. A simple yes or no would be fine right?

    If you follow the pc line of track, righteous will never be quite as good again. It will however be more useful in a few months, as people gear up and they fix the arp bug for you.

    Im still faithful though .. for other reasons.

    You will never again be a top 3 dps toon, you will however be a good buffer/debuffer, but at the early start of mod 6.. everyone will need your heals about 100X more then buffs at the early part of that mod, was rough.. with the arp bug in place. You will need to learn how to time empowered astral shields as well to accomplish some of the t2s at all.

    Clerics heals are kind of weak. I prefer they are either buffer/haste, or dps/buff/debuff. I finish spiders in 14 minutes. No wipe, just speed.

    Funny that, I ran my DPS DC with one from Genocide yesterday (Shava) for about a dozen matches - we beat most teams and got the majority of kills on our team.

    But hey, you stick to what you know ;)

    That's what my Healadin is for.
    I thought you were so proud that your healadin does 0 damage?

    lol what? who are you referring to? If you mean me I can tell you nobody carries me. I've listed my characters on my signature, what's yours? Next time I see you in pvp we can see who does the carrying.

    I dissagree, i like running pve with a dps cleric, i hit alot harder, as apposed to a heal or haste. On a side note i think haste clerics are completely useless to anyone but a pally.

    Not the case, I have a Hasty Cleric and have carried a pair of Rogues and CW's, and a Guardian through ECC, no issues. Having a Pally is a bonus.

    Ran my CW around GG alongside a haste DC recently - a constant barrage of Oppressive Force (daily) won us every node.

    Every class benefits from their dailies charging up every few seconds ;)

    Yeah, that charge everyone gets is awesome.

    When I respec'd for Haste, I did not know what I was in for. I had a Cleric sitting idle (office staff class) cause I was only after the Sigil for my Ranger (main). I respec'd and it has not seen the new areas yet, Dread, Ice, or Sharandar. It only has three boons from WoD. It was a rough start as a 1800+ iL Cleric.

    Well, after learning and executing a rotation that provided what all characters starve for, it is now requested. I have hoarded seals from ESoT and eventually ECC. Nabbed great gear along the way popping it above 2000 iL so it was then requested for consecutive runs of ECC. I have walked through ECC with a Pally and Ranger, just the three of us. And naturally the last camp fire would have two more characters appear, what luck!

    Presently I am prepping for solo runs by collecting a second set of Elven Alliance gear with APen. I rarely get to break away and do my thing as I am quickly summoned to run with a group.

    I look forward to acquiring the boons from the new zones and what Stronghold offers but it seems for now it does not take much to keep everyone happy.
