Returning player, need some info please?

I've decided to give this game one more try but I need someone to give me some info and tips (god knows why I already know I'll regret it.)

Well, I haven't played since 2 months before Strongholds. I'm a sword master GWF with burning executioner set and I remember dealing max dps in nearly any dungeon. Weapon enchant is transcendent plaguefire and armor enchant is transcendent bloodtheft/lesser soulforged. Is this set still viable now ? I know there's better armor now but I'll never farm that lol.

Also, my friend will also return. She has same armor set, and the same enchants but is an executioner rogue.

I guess what I want to know is, can we both still play with our "old" sets and not get wrecked ?

    It sounds like you already had level 70 gear, so you should be ok.

    is the new BEST in slot gear from strongholds a huge gap between burning executioner ? should we bother refining elemental burning artifact main and off hands ?

    a few new weapons are in the way, so i would wait to see if any are worth using, also the new pve gear are useless, and weaker than the sh ones.

    Sh ones? what do you mean?
