TR is a freaking wreck

delta522delta522 Member Posts: 25 Arc User
I have over $2000 in my rogue and since the update I feel like I wasted my money. My TR used to be a freaking monster, But now, lifesteal does not work. Even if they just changed parameters about it, I still consider it broke because it sucks now (it was my lifeline), shadow of demise does not work, area of effect in my opinion is not as much as it was and if you do happen to hit multiple enemies your so weak you wont kill them. They will come out of stun and kick your ***. So you can try to stealth only to find out that shadow of demise doesn't work so every little projectile you get hit with depletes your stealth meter. So at this point you can desperately make an attempt for life steal (that no longer works) by using a smoke bomb or lashing blade. Which now takes half a minute to recharge. Leaving you totally screwed, It needs to be changed back because right now the TR is a ******* mess. Why risk putting money in a game to make a character stronger when at any time your character could become literally this bad. As for PVP I could care less. But for PVE the rogues needs to change back to what they used to be. They were fine had good damage and operated great without any issues. Now they are pretty much worthless. This game was freaking Awesome before, with a little consideration It could be again.

You already said this under another topic. My last time running ECC was a success the other day and I led the group in damage. When your group is ready and are approaching a mob I'll stealth forward past and lash from behind, then drop a smoke bomb dazing everything and go crazy with DF while the rest of the group is throwing down ice or rooting and slashing away, then I'm back to dropping smoke again and repeat while popping Lurkers Assault. It's easiest for a TR to dodge AOE and to attack from the sides and behind enemies. Again, the changes to the TR are drastically over exaggerated. People come into a mod 6 dungeon for the first time and think their TR has no power, not realizing that the enemy is running at Encounter strength and that this difference in difficulty to kill is felt by every class. You should always stealth past the mob and attack from behind while you work your way inward as you're killing one at a time and making the most of your procs. You're never going to be pulling agro, they're going to be paying attention to the rest of your group so between that, and stealth, and daze you should be behind or to the side of your enemies for the duration of every fight. And please don't be that guy still wearing lvl 60's gear.

I can't say I read all of the above things said, but, at the beginning of the new mod I did think TR's were doomed, but now, the more I get into it, I've realised exactly the new potential for them.

Yes, they may not do insane damage any more, but honestly, who cares? You're going to get loot at the end of dungeons, skirmishes, encounters anyway.

The best thing for the TR is their stealth, smoke bombs galore, dazing strike & glooming cut. I'm always last to go down in most dungeons due to I don't take any agro unless everyone else is dead, and the stealth helps avoid mobs and pick up downed fellow adventurers.

Since nobody is crazy geared out people get one-hit constantly. In Kessels Retreat, there's the Shaman people that put some sort of protection over the other minions, so eliminating that person first is best option.

Sounds like a job for le TR. Invis, Glooming Cut, Shadow Strike, Repeat. Job done. NEXT!

I am relying on Sigils from my DC and HR for in creased power. I have the Lantern and others but the power boost from leveling the Sigils is helping me. I have not tried the rotation: Invis, Glooming Cut, Shadow Strike, Repeat. Will try it tonight. Seems I stay in stealth longer in this Mod than last.

Coming from the PC side (XBox can't be that far off); the TR is just fine...

I'm a MI Executioner strictly for PVE; I'm not the very tops in Paingiver but I'm close. As stated above, we can be used as a Tank in the absence of one by giving the Control Wizards a chance to come in behind us after we stun.

Using First Strike and Invisible Infiltrator keeps my damage humming. DF as my at will; Using Smoke Bomb, Dazing Strike and Lashing Blade in rotation with several options at Dailies should give you plenty of dps and cc. Add the Lost set and the fact that we are left alone to do damage or pick up teammates with minimal threat, we can more than hold our own.

As for PVP...that's another story...and for someone else to write...

I know how you feel I spent alot of money on my tr too maxed campanions to i was an all out master infiltrator executioner (PvE) (dps class) (not anything else ) cause that's what I paid for that is what i wanted a charactor that can do alot of dps and has survivability bought perfect vorpal and my gear I just wanted wasted money on this class of disapointment 1 main charactor also i mostly not in a group of freinds Tr was good for soloing Now the update came my tr sucks dies all the time I have to rely on having someone to help me kill things in dungeon also have to rely on someone healing me while playing tr I'm irritated on how much health potion the tr's consume in 1 epic dungeon run its like I'm sick of playing my tr don't like it the nerfs are because of the guys in PVP complaining they forgot about pve tr survivability I don't want to rely on someone else to heal me all the time. If classes get nerfed every time I think it would be better to make campanions and mounts should be bound to account so we can use it on another class when something gets nerfed so I don't feel like I've lost money. And these other guys posting you guys only posting about your tr and how you think you do you don't know how I feel spending money ,buying gear investing in 1 class everything for 1 class then after it doesn't work well the way I intended it to. Also scared to invest money into another class just knowing it might get nerfed and here we go again back in the same cycle lose money not working as the way I paid for it and set it up to be.

You didn't read anything the other posters wrote krzdeath... there's nothing wrong. We solo content that is meant to be soloed and we play our roll in group efforts.

You guys really need to take a look at your numbers (stats) and figure it out. You cannot simply stand in the enemies face and mash buttons.

So you implying that's what I do right you don't know how I play at you don't know me I know how to play a tr I invested alot of real money into it I'm saying I paid for high dps tr and I noticed a big difference with dps in update I hardly play anymore because of what happened I'm not putting money into game or new charactors because you don't know what they will nerf next I am thinking it's sale tactics to make more money they probably was thinking nerf the tr dps mod6 make the hunter and the gwf super strong bring out a new charactor and the people with tr's will be forced to make a new charactor because they will be wanting a dps charactor so basically there's a really big chance they will spend more money on making new charactors. And when times comes will nerf another class forcing that class to have to make a new charactor more $$$$ so ya I'm really disapointed cause our sod doesn't work look and these other classes there's thing proc on everyone and tr's don't all other classes so I'm saying I spent money for high dps paying costomer next time you guys nerf let us know before we spend money on it because we work hard for our real cash and for it to be wasted is a dissapointment I wanna play game but if it is going to be nerfed no sense I rather play black ops when it comes out by cya

I've spend more than 500 hours on my tr in mod5 and yeh, i got it to lv70 and tried the dungeons, campaigns, etc.
My tr has now 50% of all the boons and respected later to enjoy pvp with it but now i decided to stop playing with my tr and making 2 new characters which were HR and OP, and i have to say honestly... HR Trapper has so much better survivability than a TR because of the roots and perma stun/daze lol.
No need to say anything about my pally since its a broken overpowered class :/
