Professions, is there any way to turn off the finish now button?

I never want to finish early yet sometimes my key sticks as I'm moving between them and it gets clicked and sweet sweet ad goes by by and there is no way to reverse it. it's really annoying I've lost 50k ad on JUNK so far thru this. I try to remember to just immediately turn over my ad into zen but i forget sometimes. and sometimes i'd like to have ad on hand.

I've lost so much AD, and even a fully unlocked off hand to lag and poorly manufactured controllers...
I'd like thank the folks who put refine next to discard. Well played ^^

There are a few quality of life enhancements like this that probably wont see the light of day:

- Disable the "If you drop an item anywhere except the place you wanted, it asks you to destroy the item" when refining. The confirmation box is now pretty much the same box you get if you did put it in the right spot, so bam, gone item if you don't get it right.
- Destroy Enchantment - I can't think of even 1 time in history that this was used correctly. This is probably the most least used options (again, when used correctly and not by mistake) in the history of gaming. This option appear to only exist now to make people screw up and destroy the enchant.
- Dont auto equip bags when you pick them up.

yup, the other one I have is more sorting features for your journal. like show all the quests you've got progress on or automatically move the quest to be the next one in the map you are on. or a search feature. or heck even a page down option.

I actually hit the discard option on an artifact yesterday - fortunately I noticed the warning box......
It REALLY is stupid. Any person that designs these layouts for a living has to be aware that you group the useful and safe options away from the dangerous ones.

I lost the eye of lathander artifact tonight. Apparently if you hit A accept all it goes into the void but if you hit x accept this item you get to keep it. some of the buggy stuff in this game that hasnt' been fixed.. ugh

Huh guys, i never finished now any profession without wanting too. You have to click it, then click it AGAIN, how much more click you want? Like when you prestige in COD?

YES YES YES YES YES YES, I have made a couple of posts in the past about this as I have lost around 200k AD over the course of playing. Sometimes lag, sometimes user error, sometimes just pressing buttons too fast for the game to keep up. I have done this a few times now and even a couple of days ago lost around 13k due to it.

Also I have destroyed a couple of items when I wanted to Salvage for similar reasons above.

You on PC or Xbox? This happened to me on Xbox once, and now I do not press the A button anymore but the menu button to navigate to the slots area.

xbox. and yeah I guess I have to start pressing x. lol that's beyond lame though. Destro you must not have lag ever effect you. it's to the point where I routinely double hit keys because it doesn't register as a button press otherwise. the lag is monstrous. the problem is I think I'm on the that is finished but the controller sticks on the wrong profession. and by the time it's realized that the thing has lagged out on another key it's too late. it's purchased. maybe it's going too fast combined with lag but why the doublehockey sticks should I have to go slow? I dont' want to spend half an hour clearing out done things. I shouldn't have to either.

This was probably their intention! As for the player whos pad sticks spray some WD40 on to it, trust me it works a treat for sticking buttons and thumbsticks.

Could the "lag" between controller and xbox might be caused by the batteries being old? Or maybe you sit too far away from the xbox? At least that's what happens on PC when batteries in my remote keyboard need to be recharged - lots of key presses aren't getting registered well.

Funny enough, i did just that this morning, i lost 23K and i was like "wow... ok, had to made fun of the dude for this to happen to myself" , i was semi angry (cause i don't roll on diamonds) but semi laughing of my mistake and how i just said the day before never had it happen... lol

Ill be more carefull now.

With the new dashboard on the preview program, you have to be EXTRA MEGA HUGELY careful. No matter what you press, it'll do the opposite.

Pressing A makes it scroll down. Pressing triggers makes it scroll down.

Almost refined my Lostmauth neck piece into the belt once. Also almost deleted the Horn when trying to refine it.

Ok my pad disconnects sometimes for a second or 2 and then re-connects... I thought it was just me and a dodgy pad though but this is the only game it happens on.

What I will say is when the pad disconnects the game automatically scrolls through menus for some reason. Also if you press buttons quicker than the game it just cannot keep up. Now everytime I go into my menu and scroll around it causes powers to fire off in the background... For instance when I hit start and then scroll down straight away it will almost always fire off my Artefact behind the menu screen.

Other issues I have is, if you go for instance into you bank and hit right straight away it will scroll menus even though it should not do this as you are supposed to hit right or left bumper. But if you are quick the D-Pad will do this function even though you do not want it to.

The other issue with the pad disconnecting and re-connecting means sometimes I can no longer here people through my head-phones, they come through the TV until I reset everything.

Semi-related... I had my kinect cursor engage at seemingly random times, jump all around the screen as though I was wildly waving my arms around. After a short time, it would settle down and I would go back to normal activity. It took me a while to figure out that the little heater next to my futon has one of those decorative fronts that looks like flames in a fireplace and at certain times the reflected light would freak out the kinect, then when the "flames" shifted a little it would go back to normal again

I fortunately read up of that long before I saw my Eye pop up. Bad luck man. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxxxxxx from now on.

Well, it's the same amount of clicks as it is with completed tasks. So when it becomes a routine to breeze through all the completed slots, it's easy to double click that slot in the middle that wasn't completed yet. I've done it a couple of times myself.

The problem, imo, is that the completed slots doesn't differentiate that much from the uncompleted - especially when you usually just use the peripheral vision(?) to quickly overlook all slots. If the text in the uncompleted slots would have a more "screaming" color, like red, people would notice it. Or even better - make the entire slot (the filling in the box) in two very different colors. Otherwise an easy logical fix could be switching buttons. Completed slots: Okay = A. Pay to finish: Okay = B.

LOL the finish now button, my old nemesis. 3 months ago I would be right there with you, after wasting probably 100k AD lol. But you just gotta take it slow and pay attention to what you are doing.

Well It happened to me on more than 1 occasion. Other "human errors" I've committed for not being patient:
- Buying instead of placing a Bid (in AH)
- Sell Zen to ridiculous low prices instead of Buying Zen
- Discard Items instead of Salvaging
- Deleting mail before taking the item.

I learned so now I do stuff very slow so I dont lose any more AD.

I have done the zen thing but luckily it wasn't much and it wasn't that much under the rate i'd have wanted for it. I never delete mail unless I have to so I've managed not to do that one.

The easiest fix, IMO, to this whole mess would be: if an action requires confirmation, the default is NO and you must use the direction pad to move and select YES, then press button.
Even in other games (I have made some horrendous golf shots due to controller registering a rapid double A tap :P) the "controller glitch" is real.

It happens.

I have done that.
Deleted items purchased while in my mailbox.
Deleted an Artifact a weapon on accident (was returned)

Yeah, it's a bummer lol
