What Is Recommended?

I am interested in joining a guild but would like to know what, if any, additional apps I might need or want to get.
I have a headset with a mic but it is my understanding that the in game chat is spotty at best. When I played games on PC I would use a chat program like ventrilo or TeamSpeak. I know xbox has "party" chat but I don't know anything about that.
Maybe I'm being dumb but any advice on getting prepared to join a guild would be great.
Thanks in advance o/

Just be a nice genuine person with a level 70 character to run content with. Neverwinter doesn't really begin until you're level 70, it's kinda hard to group up until then. Sadly.

Fortunately, you do not need to be level 70 to join a good guild or make friends in this game. My guild has no level or item score requirement, we even take new players to the game and shape them into fine warriors. You can read our recruitment thread here if you are still looking for a home and/or friends.

    Thank you for the replies.
I guess what I was really asking is what do most guilds use to communicate? I am having a hard time with that in this game as the chat system does not seem very user friendly. Even taking spam out, from my PC background, havin to hit so many buttons (ok, so maybe it's only like 3) to even get to the chat is cumbersome. Then, having to do same to try to scroll chat... not a complaint but my point is I miss a lot of chat, I think.
When I first started playing I thought the in game chat was going to be brilliant since I have a headset and mic but it doesn't seem to work so well.
I am a lv 70 GWF with a 2k IL and decent stats. I am more of a solo player but feel compelled to join a guild since it is an MMO (and to me that's sort of the whole point of an MMO) but my concerns about communication are holding me back.

My guild has its own forum page that we communicate a lot on. In game we mostly use Xbox chat. Hit me up or see our thread and chat with us for awhile

Oh my guild mostly uses Xbox messaging and party chat app on the Xbox...

My guild also has its own website, which we use as our hub for communication when we can't be on Xbox. We make heavy use of the Xbox Live party system and it works very well for us.

    Ok, thanks again.
So it sounds like xbox party is, maybe, like a console version of TeamSpeak or ventrilo on PC. I will look in to how that works. The xbox belongs to my roomie so I haven't dug that deep in to what it has to offer.
