Regeneration

I think you should put regeneration back the way it was, it was pretty much my only source of healing on my guardian fight if I soloed, I always had high regeneration but it still wasn't very much.

But now in mod 6 despite still having good defense, deflect, and using a shield I die really easy.... On a tank, the class that's supposed to take the damage.

My regeneration back in mod 5 was more like support healing, but now in mod 6 I get thrashed so easy, as a tank I don't do high enough dps to warrant a switch to life steal, most of the tank gear is regeneration over life steal anyways.

I feel like just putting regeneration back the way it was before isn't going to be an issue, it's not like you can really stack your regen high enough to instantly get all ur health back like you can with life steal.

I'm tanking and it just hurts more than it should.
If you can't beat 'em, arrange to have them beaten.

When soloing you don't even need regeneration. Just set Fighter's Recovery (Daily) Knight's Challenge as your (encounter), Lunging Strike (encounter) and Crushing Surge as your at will. Find a target with a lot of health then trigger Fighter's Recovery (Daily) followed by Knight's Challenge All damage done will heal you X2 now. Hit Lunging Strike followed by Crushing Surge the 3rd strike will heal you 4x the damage dealt, then hit Anvil of Doom. You should be back at full health. Give it a try!!

Here is how fighters recovery work in a nut shell. My health is low, pop fighters recovery. Block (have reflect active passive and watch health refill), stab over shield, drop anvil, and damage you do to an enemy with fighters recovery active will fill your health bar. I found Enforced Threat the best to fill your bar instantly when against a trash mob. Just remember pop daily, block, shield stab or use an encounter to fill up HP fast. If you stand toe to toe with a mob you will not see the results you are looking for and may be the source of your frustration. If you want a walk through PM me we can run dailies sometime to give out some tanking hints.

When I ran my beloved GF in mod 5 Fighters recovery never left my bar it was and still is a primary source of healing for the GF class, enforced threat when dealing with mobs and as the previous person said knights challenge and anvil with bosses. It always worked for me and even at 61 my GF can still run well of the dragons and survive, you need to get your mechanics right, proper power usage is essential. Too bad my old main has become a PVP class I hopped on the Oathbound Paladin Train when mod 6 dropped and unless there are some major adjustments made to the GF class I probably won't return to it anytime soon, the OP Protector is a better tank sad to say.

I highly recommend a wheel of elements (mythic). It is OP. The water element will heal you to full health over 30 seconds and can be used once per minute (at mythic).

If you are a swordmaster, you can use weapons masters strike with a roughly 5% life steal chance to keep yourself healed against trash mobs.

Also as a swordmaster, you can use fighter's recovery in combination with steel defense to refill your health as well. You will have 6 seconds of immunity when using your fighter's recovery to heal.

I've tried a combination of these and it seems ok, but I still think regen should go back the way it was, gf's are naturally built with heavy regen, people are calling gf's obsolete, I'm just thinking you'd give them a fighting chance if you have them back their combat regen.

Gf's are awesome they have great party buffs, but people don't play them because they expect them to play like pally's but they can't, their survivability is not the same, a gf can just constantly hide behind thier shield of course but no one wants to only do that, and it's not a viable option if you use knights valor.
