VIP mechanic suggestion

coliercolier Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 119 Arc User
I know a lot of people will say this adds to many steps for Invocations.

I have only 6 characters all with Rank 6 VIP. I am also still fairly new to the game. While out adventuring and running HE's and then claiming the rewards by using CTRL+F, I sometimes hit CTRL+I by accident and automatically initiating an Invocation if timer is up. This kind of bugs me because when I do my invocations I like to do all my characters at the same time to keep timers somewhat in sync. (I know a lot of players will say my following suggestion is meaningless and not even needed if I was to only pay attention more).

Suggestion:
While having VIP where you are now able to do your Invocations anywhere, can we please add a confirmation popup for a chance to decline the Invocation if it was initiated by accident.

The above suggestion will also add more hassles for the bots that are still running Invocations if there are any.

Nooooo! Invocation is as painful as it is now. Another dialog box?? No.
To compromise, they can give you an option to turn on this "feature" when the rest of us have that off.
It adds more hassles to normal players than the bots. They only need to change their program once when we, normal players, have this for N times per day.

There's already an option to remap you hotkey for invoke. Go into your keybinds and delete the invoke keybind.

    Problem solved. Easy.

better option would be to add auto invocation when you are online(in-game, not in character select) on all characters, as long as one is online, or one invocation to rule them all - either re-make it character wide or just invoking on one character automatically invokes all other characters

Or create compelling gameplay that doesn't incentivize people to have invoking mules, and spend hours swapping toons for the silly rewards.

Do you really think they understand this? or they would ever make anything to improve gamerewards?

imho daily rewards are a good way to keep players getting back on, and provides players with some income when they dont have time to play, its just that /character invoking is a bad choice for multi character setup

This will work for me...thank you for the tip. I did not even think of this, as you can tell from my above post.

Considering the latest changes, I'd say they are making having alts quite unprofitable compared to the past. Ironzerg's suggestion is only the next logical step. But I agree you shouldn't hold your breath till they make that step.
As far as i know playing alts is still more profitable than playing just the main. This is sth i honestly dont understand, playing the same stuff should be always the same range of rewards no matter if i play it 4 times with 1 character or 2 times with 2 characters. Running 4 dungeons with 1 character will grant less rad than running 4 times with to characters (2x2 Dungeons)

But i wont even complain anymore, the game has this much time to prove me wrong until BDO comes out. I stopped spending money when they took away Ls and reworked dungeons. Though i didn`t have any LS-char, i make way less than 24k rad daily(without salvage). On the other hand we still have alot of untouched ad-sinks. I get why they are letting the sinks still untouched, especially sh. They let us face pay ad and progress, or save your ad and dont progress at all. They will let us bleed out until most ad is gone, before they start fixing this huge ad sinks. Sure smart move, but again, I as a player i am pissed about stuff like this. I wont even start with other stuff like surplass equipment sink, or the most unrewarding gameplay i have seen in my entire life
