is there a place i can go to see all the appearances of all the armor types and special pieces found in game?

    Nope, a gear preview system was never added. EDIT (Yes, you can preview it if you own it)
    Not like there is much to transmute to now anyways besides CTA gear.

    Patch Notes:

    - Added a historical item vendor that sells level 1 versions of all armor pieces. Special restrictions for certain pieces may apply.
    - Reduced the cost to transmute an item by 80%.
    - Added transmute remover to the WB for 25k.

    Depending on the class, you can visit the sub-forum and see if there are screenshots posted for armor appearances. The HR one is stickied to the top of the page. People sometimes post the name of the gear piece they transmuted to.
