The leader board

So, I PVP a bit and have noticed something: The leader board is screwed!

I was #1, then I won a game and was on page 21. I won another game and went back to first place. Over the course of winning about 20 games last night I bounced around from first place, page 2 and third place.

All without losing a single game.

Does anyone have any insight as to how the leader board is figured? I have heard a lot of people give their opinion, but none of them seem to hold up to testing. It seems ridiculously random!

I mean, there is a guy on page one with zero wins, one loss and 8 deaths. How is he on page one? Makes no sense!

The leader board is not that important, I know that, but I would love to know how it is figured.

Anyone have an idea?

So, here is an update fr you! Due to the DDOS attack, I went from page 1 to page 56. I was in a match with a guild mate when the servers went down and got a loss, a leaver penalty AND a 55 page penalty! So awesome!

its bassed on how much u win by winning by 2 much = no rank gain and rank loss was that way in m5 as well if u won by 500 or more u actually lose rank points so keep in mind when ur trashing a team u trashing urself too so if u care about this leader junk u beter start being lean way

I was on page 2, won a match and dropped to page 58. Won the next match and went back up to 2. Lulzy,

I once read that the leaderboard was based off an ELO rating system. I don't know if that's true though. If that is the case, then who is on your team and who you play are just as important as the number of points you get in game. But I really have no clue and don't care.

Sounds like it's considerably more wacky in Mod 6 than it was in 5.

I was on page 4. did a duo queue with a guildy but only 1 other person was put on our team. So 5 vs 3 . we lost - got moved down to page 88. Page 4 to page 88 in one game due to stupid match making system that is now broken. Prior to EE , at least it was 5v5 even if you got super scrubs on your team.

leaderboard is definitely broken.

Kind of have to wait before having too accept the queue; see 1 (X) would suggest dropping an Reque or you'll run into those kind of matches.

I have noticed the rankings being super crazy since this game started. for instance last night me and another guy were playinf I would hop from page one when I lose and get 3rd place then when I get 1st I lost 70 pages sometimes and go to first page I mean having a 4-1 kd and well over 75% w/l ratio is confusing

Having people who've played one match up on the first page means the rank score is ignoring total player score.

I would've thought they'd do something like:
(total kills-total deaths)*(total wins-total losses)*total played=rank score

This accounts for your contribution, team wins and matches played. it would give a pretty harsh rating for those who lose more than they win but then again you could call that fair!

I also think disconnecting should count as a match loss +penalty death for the individual regardless of outcome to stop people deliberately disconnecting to protect their ranking (which happens way too much).

Leaderboards are completely broken, and there's no correct answer as to how it works right now simply because it's not working at all.

If you make it to the first page and want to stay there until it's fixed, stop playing.

If you are enjoying the PVP matches and can accept that your position on the leaderboards won't be fairly reflective of your outcome until it's fixed, keep on playing and enjoy the game.
