Missing AD . . .?

I'm a relatively new player, so I'm trying to make sure i haven't screwed something up, but after Monday's lag issues my refined AD totals were reduced by more than 60,000. I didn't buy anything, though I did bid on an AH item. I was outbid, and I know I didn't win because I recieved nothing in the in-game email. There appears to be nothing in my zen/AD exchange transactions either.

Any ideas?

    Check the auction house. I think your money ends up there until you withdraw it

    it ends up back in the mailbox, when you are outbid.
