Dread Ring Greater Mark Quest-is it bugged?

I completed the quest in Dread Ring that rewards with a greater mark of your choice. When I completed the quest, it gave me a blue mark stability. It does not say on the quest that there is a chance of a greater mark to drop. Why have me pick my quest for the greater mark if it's not going to give me what I picked.

Yes this is terrible. Unfortunately they changed it on the pc to be a "chance" of a greater mark. Needed a bigger diamond sink I suppose (10% trade house fees ...).

i stated this as well in my post earlier today with things that are broke in the game. this is total BS once again. im all for them wanting to change it since we never had it in the 1st place but THEN CHANGE IT!. DONT tell me that im gonna get one and have a choice of which one i want just to buy a key to go get it and then not get it. they need to start doing things right. especially when they accept money from us they should have the correct wording, it needs to be fixed or the tooltip adjusted. in retail this tactic would be known as " the bait and switch" and is illegal.

Exactly-bait and switch. I truly love this game but all of the stuff currently occurring in the new content irritates me. I love the glitch involving the health stone/potions. I love getting 1 shotted then trying to use my health stone which didn't work. The best part is waiting for the cool down on the potions that I didn't get to use. But it's ok bc gold is plentiful now and I can buy more injury kits

or how bout the conspiracy about the potions in general. think about it. why do "superior" healing potion only heal you for 2k more hp then a previous best one when we have on average 50k more hp?? pay to play??? greater stone of health zen purchases?? maybe im just thinking too deep in to it.......

It seems that Perfect World likes to make low selling items required for new content. How many ppl used a health stone in mod 5? Now the potions suck so you would need a health stone to level. No one used a XP boost, so now the new content is horribly tedious and extremely high xp. Xp boost needed. Guess what is on sale on zen market

But it's the same formula for all "Free to play" games, they always stick it to you unless you are content to play sporadicly. I played game of war and saw ppl spending over 10k easily. Sure you could play for free...if you liked being a door mat for everyone else.

It's not glitched because I received a greater mark of power today after completing it. (It was even out of the free chest on the left.)

It's not a guaranteed drop, only a CHANCE at a drop.

Why have you choose which greater mark, if it's random. Why not add in the comment that chance for greater mark, regular mark. I did the quest for a greater mark of union today and got a greater mark of stability. Lolz

And what's irritating is that originally in PC it was guaranteed and then got changed to a chance. We never had the quest so why not state it's a chance. Otherwise it appears like a bait and switch situation

I can understand your frustration, but if you didn't realize.....Greater Marks are now MEGA cheap in the AH. I just bought 4 GMOU and 4 GMOP for right UNDER 1mil ad. Yea thats right, each of them only ran close to 100k each. So GET ON AND BUY THEM WHILE THEY ARE SO CHEAP!

The greater marks can drop, they do in fact. Also there is a schedule, a weekly one that shows which things drop when. Very useful.

I bought a few of those keys when I didn't get one and despite saying I would get one, I didn't get one any of the 4 (total) times I completed it. I get it got nerfed (now) but for pete's sake change the damn text.

What's more, the quest seems to bug out your journal. I now have a blank level 1 quest named "mission" in my journal, that appeared immediately after I completed my not-actually-a-choice (haha-made-you-hope) choose-your-reward-quest.

the greater marks were 42k on Sunday. i am sure they will double when double RP comes out, but if you know how to farm them you wont need to worry. i farmed as much as possible. only need a couple more marks to make all my gear and artifacts legendary. in order to see any of the greater marks you will need to do more than just 4 runs. i got 5 marks in 12 runs. Just stock up on keys, find a farming party and do speed runs.

I don't farm them, so I'll tell you.

Dread Ring has 3 dungeons (Dread Spire, Phantasmal Fortress and Death Forge).
You get one key for free to run one lair every day.
Or you can buy them (1 gold + 5,000 AD + 10 scrips).
Or you can just sit by the door and invite others who have a key.
