How to say something with an alias in CommandAliases.txt

Hi everyone,

With the help of zebular I was able to configure CommandAliases.txt to help me emote with the command line. In the web pages I've found it looks like you can also create lines to say common phrases. I've tried 3 or 4 different formats for the say command but with no luck. Other commands work so I know the CommandAliases.txt file is working fine.
I'd like to type something like /tu and have the game say Thanks! and things like that.

Would anyone have an example?

    I'll check out AutoIt. I haven't looked at any macro software since it's so frowned upon by the makers of Neverwinter. I've read so many times you can loose your account if you use macro's in the game. I'm just looking to macro some really simple things like common sayings, stuff like that. I understand their policy since people use macros to automate their character to perform actions that produce AD while not even playing the game. It sucks people do that and ruin things for everyone else.

    If the Neverwinter admins did see I was running macros just to talk and emote my gut feeling would be they would not make it an issue. I'm not sure if the Neverwinter code checks other processes on your computer to see if your running a macro application or perhaps more likely if they detect very repetitive character actions run for long periods of time they could discover someone is running a macro.

    alias test "say texthere"
    (this just says whatever is typed after say)

    alias test "say test $$ e emotehere"
    (this says a phrase and does an emote)

    For some reason I haven't been able to get any of this to work yet. I'll post a reply to my top post to see if anyone has an idea what may be wrong.

    Any ideas why this may be happening?

    I tried the following:

    Filename: commandaliases.txt

    File Contents:

    alias bow "em bow"

    File Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cryptic Studios\Neverwinter\Live\localdata

    The game loads fine.

    When I'm in game and type /bow (and hit the enter key) I see the following line:

    [0:25] Nostia Bow_Formal

    But my character doesn't perform the emote.

    Anyone have an idea what my issue may be?
