How does Claw of Bahamut binding work?

It says "Bound to Account on Equip".

Does that mean I apply that to a character's armor A, it will bound to Account instead of character?
If yes, does that mean I can somehow take it out from character's armor A and then put that back the Armor B?

I'm also curious if it overwrites the exisiting armor kit on the armor, or is an additional "boon"

Go preview to test, it overwrites the existing armorkit so applying it is not stack over current kit.

I'm more curious if you enhance your elven gear, and then refine that gear with blackice to get the elemental elven, do you still have the bahamut enhancement too?

No, Upgrading in BI is not upgrading acctualy, it eats ur item as one of ingredients, and gives u back elemental version of it. There is 0% upgrade in this upgrade, so whatever u had, enchant, reinforcment, its all gone.

Good to know, will hold on to my bahamut HAMSTER until I get elemental gear, as I don't foresee any other progress after that for a long time. Dragon flight gear is not currently obtainable without guild hopping for dragon fights, and I'm not doing that ;)
