Call to Arms Pace

Didn't a couple runs last night and it seems the spawn rate for the waves is very slow. So much that people kept dropping because they thought the instance was bugged. And while it wasn't, the event, which I assume is supposed to be 5-10min is stretching to 20min with all of us spinning like tops waiting for mobs. Anyone else having this issue?

There have been a few times where there are impatient people and they go around and get up on the ledge and bug it. My first 3 i tried yesterday were bugged. said to clear final wave. people were just standing there.

Is that what's bugging it? Have you had a 'normal,' run?
Have to admit running all over that map attempting to make something happen..

You can always spend the first 10 minutes leaving and coming back to set your Drop to something "worth" the time. Then lots of enemies will be waiting for your.

I believe the spawn time is clearly to long. Waiting 20-30 seconds in between waves is making it boring and entirely to long. Also people are checking their journals for good loot and then going out and in the portal to reset the chest drop. This is adding to the length of time of the runs. But i have also had numerous instances now where the enemys will get bugged inside the walls and are very hard to damage and kill. Im not positive its due to players going up on the walls to spawn kill enemys because i think its happened a couple times without players being up there. Its to bad though, the cruel enchantment in my opinion is the best one and that companion looks HAMSTER as well.

Yes. It's both a big lag between waves as well as long waits between the mobs themselves.

It has nothing to do with hitting the mobs early. Tested multiple times. The spawn timer + pathing to jump down mechanic are terrible from a development/implementation/testing stand point.

Nothing like a CTA where stuff dies in 5s but you have to wait 30-60 for the next wave. Super inspiring gameplay!

Edit: spell check

It's very underwhelming, in my opinion. I was so glad to see some fresh content after this lull, but was quickly disappointed with the snail-like pace of this CTA, not to mention the times when the enemies were stuck. Definitely not one of my favorites.

lol glad others find this CTA boring and unnecessarily LONG. I was playing it a few time last night I was falling asleep between the spawns. SO BORING. They need to just quadruple the spawning and just make it constant. The Broken Bridge, or whatever that was called, CTA was great. Kill, move up, kill, move up.

it's the worst skirmish zone in the game imo. even the regular version is terrible. it doesn't really matter that if they increase the spawn rate, because there is a high percentage chance that the mobs get stuck on top of the walls. players have to run to the wall and jump around to try and draw aggro, and sometimes that doesn't even work. it's unfortunate, because it seems like a fun concept... overwhelming number of mobs pouring over the walls and we are fighting for our lives. just doesn't work out that way. oh, another problem is if everyone is in the middle, and the mobs actually make it down from the wall, they just stand there. so now you have to run to them to kill them, then run back to the other side to kill another group. basically end up running for most of the time(which is forever) and you only need 1 encounter to kill an entire group because they are so weak. i thought i wasn't even contributing last night... like i got there too late to kill anything. turns out i was top dps.

they really should have fixed this before doing a CTA with it. is there even anything worth buying with the currency?

Transmute weapons, they look decent. The companion is...for a lack of better term a$$ imo. So there's not too much going on in this CTA. Very UNDER whelming event leading up to the MOD6

Edit: Must add once again...VERY BORING CTA!

When one or two get stuck behind the wall near spawn point I just get close to area and let my companion go to work, as it's able to go back there and kill them. The only problem is that it takes awhile for them to actually kill them, and sometimes they might get killed themselves. It might go little faster if people would use some battle companions instead of healers and ioun stones.

As for the ones that stay up by the ledge, range attacks can target them. They move around though and you don't always have a clear targeting line of sight so this also requires some time to clear.

I love this CTA, its one of the only ones I can start but still have time to make a cuppa, a sarnie, go to the toilet, wash my hands of course, do my hair, have a nosey out the window and then come back to still have 2 waves left to go! :expressionless:

I love CTAs, but this was way too long for the spawn times in which it makes it a long quick skirmish.
• zelinktheone3zelinktheone3 Member Posts: 43 Arc User
To make the event go somewhat faster, you can have at least 1 DPS character go out of the map on both sides so that they can stand right in their spawn or next to their spawn. This prevents the ads from getting stuck anywhere as well as killing them faster to make the next spawn well faster. If anyone needs help learning how to do so, lmk. I can probably make a quick video from a past broadcast or 2.

And if you're going for the companion, don't just keep running the CTA mindlessly. Instead, do the journal trick and keep going until you get what you want or until the lobby finishes the CTA. I would highly advise being in at least a group of 3 when doing this, just in case. ;)

One of our guys had the never ending water balloons so when they get stuck he lobs them at them, blow me if it didn't bring them down quick lol
You might want to try that he has pulled this off a dozen times at least :)

This is one of the things that worries me about the update and future of the game. NO ONE???? played this on their end and thought it was a bad idea? Not a single tester even mentioned this?
