Ok lets say my guild gets first boon and then recruits new members, that means they get guild boon automatically without any work what so ever? Or I'm missing something?
This needs to be addressed ASAP, dev's need to make it so that you not only need to build things as guild, but to get access to guild boons each char has to pay certain amount of guild marks. Probably you should not lose your individual progress if you switch guilds, but gaining all benefits others have worked for completely for free is madness. This can be exploited a lot.

The amount of special cupcake syndrome in MMOs just blows my mind sometimes.
Just think of it as a way to incentivize people to join your guild and get over it.

It WORKS both ways..
If you leave a guild you loose boons, if you join it you gain them. The incentive is to work FOR the boons and make yourself VALUABLE to the guild. Doing your daily influence and AD tithe is a way to make yourself valuable.
Not the point. Other campaigns had to be done per char. So say after 1 year you make lvl 4 char. Guild is recruiting and accepts you. You get boons without any work or contribution playing content of mod 7, you cant do that for other mods, except buying campaign tokens.
I'm not talking about good ppl, who will contribute and participate in guild. I'm saying that after some time when all guilds have boons, this may be exploited by some ppl to not play content and just skip to mod 8 our whatever mod will be at that time. It's like if you wait long enough you can skip it. Can we skip mod 6?
Nah.. I believe it works fine this way. Strongholds get exponentially difficult to progress. At some point you will want to go on a recruitment spree.. and guild boons is just the right motivation to get more industrious members.
I'm not talking about good ppl, who will contribute and participate in guild. I'm saying that after some time when all guilds have boons, this may be exploited by some ppl to not play content and just skip to mod 8 our whatever mod will be at that time.
And then guild leaders who utilize the coffer contribution screen (once it's working) to boot people who don't contribute get called Hitler.
So it's a no-win situation.
Although, we have safeguards in place in our guild to prevent people like that from sticking around too long... and that will be vitally important once we do start building boon structures.

It is a very long way till a guild will be fully maxed out. If a person thinks being able to leech off a guild for all the boons it provides, and able to avoid playing any content, well then that guy probably doesn't really want to play the game in the first place and most likely be kicked from inactivity.
Don't worry too much, this game is an endless grind, when most of the guilds have all the boons (which is probably over a year away), there will be more things for new and old players to grind, and veteran players will always have an advantage.
If you think there's no point in doing dailies and helping your current guild, and hoping to join a guild that has done it all later down the track, then you should do that. But all the guilds progress at a different pace, and the ones that will most likely accept you will probably be one that's very far behind.

It takes 190 days JUST in upgrade time for the Stronghold building itself. Not including any other upgrade time for the other buildings. You got a long way to go before worrying about this. This is a non issue. It is up to your recruitment officers to find good recruits. If your guild is good as is, you don't have to get new recruits.

I was in PE and happen to see a chat that a guild leader informing public he is giving free temp pass to join his guild temporary so that these people can get boon. That sounds like a very good gesture.
*** The game can read your mind. If you want it, you won't get it. If you don't expect to get it, you will. ***
This issue is for humans: manage your guild and decide your policies. I don't think that a payback mechanism is a good solution for ALL the guilds. A question: if I join a guild, I get the boons. If I leave the guild, what happens? If a player is kicked or sees the risk to be kicked losing everything, here you have a mechanim to enforce your policies: dictator-style or friendly, up to you.

By the way most guilds will either fill up or look for hefty donations when their boon buildings finally reach some worthwhile level so "I can sit out now and get the boons without work" is a bit pipe dream
Dev's already explained boons (and they work the same way in Star trek Online more or less):
If boons are available through the guild: 1) Every member of the guild has access to them and can use them. 2) If member leaves or is ejected from the guild, he loses access to those boons. 3) If the ember joins another guild that has boons available: see number 1 above.
Stronghold boons are an all or nothing; they are switched on for every member if they are available and switched off if the member leaves the guild. So the post above where the guild leader was offering "temporary" guild membership for boon purposes is really funny to me. Because the moment those people leave the guild the boon goes poof.

Which is fine, but as soon as the leave the guild (or are kicked) they lose all the Stronghold boons.

In Lineage 2 it was solved in this way: Certain boons were available depends on rank in guild. Rank would be important then and could be achieved based on resources u gave to guild. Something like that.

I'm pretty sure the guild leader was offering temp passes to join and purchase items with guild marks, not the chance for boons -- since probably no one has built boon structures yet. (Not exactly sure what GH level you need for boons, but people can't be far along on them, anyway).
"Guild tourism" to spend marks is a great idea, which I have done myself; temporarily leaving my small guild to spend my maxed-out marks in a guild I had alts in, then switching back.

Our guild has a boon structure.

Need look this "Guild Tourism", but is there fee what "Advanced Guilds" take from tourist... and
Boons cost are astronomical (just few hundred millions AD) so guilds will demand also weekly daily AD contributions if there is no "AD whales" in guild who can pay for others?(this looks also very interesting)

What you're missing is - Leave the Guild, Lose the Boon. The Boon stays with the Guild, if you're not a member - you don't get the Boon.
Ok lets say my guild gets first boon and then recruits new members, that means they get guild boon automatically without any work what so ever? Or I'm missing something?

I'm ashamed at the selfishness of you people, first the guy in the other thread whining over those who are allowed to shop now even someone worrying about the boons...
All I see is a lot of people who aren't very fit to play in an mmo... least of all belonging to a guild...
Now I see from where some of the wrong game decisions started... they listened to the wrong people asking for nerfs and for over-complicate mechanics
if you are a guild officer... why don't you just do your job and watch over guildies, eventually keeping them at bay if they don't cooperate? If you're not... that's none of your business.
Our guild recently got our first Stronghold boon. We decided to go for the Wizard's Laboratory and get the hit point boon, under the reasoning that its a boon everyone can use (really, who does not need more hit points?). As a guild leader, the entire reason I have a guild is to have friends to run stuff with. Dungeons, Skirmishes, even just dailys are more fun with other guild members. Even new guild members can be fun to run stuff with as it gives you a chance to know them. So when I look at this thread I am left in astonishment that there are people out here who would deliberately cripple their own guild mates ... the very people who you are supposed to be in a guild to play the game with. How does it help you if half your party for an epic dungeon gets no boons from the SH? Sure, having a few extra Hit Points on a low ranked guild member may not doom your epic dungeon run ... but what if it does?

You recruit other players to make your guild stronger, as Kira stated, why don't they deserve the same things everyone else gets? Why bother having other people join your guild?
It is no wonder that a lot of guilds are losing members due to the closed-minded concepts and policies that there leaders have instituted.
At this point why not kick everyone out of your guild and make it all your's?

They can still work for your boons upgrades and other building, making it easier for them to help building your stronghold is not a bad thing.
Anyway, it will be a looooooooong time until we see the 8K power boon.

You don't lose anything by accepting that player, you just gain a friend.
