Dungeon run, removed from party the second I join

cadmancancadmancan Member Posts: 41 Arc User
Last night I queued for a dungeon run and waited 15 minutes. The second I joined I was removed from party. I am positive it wasn't a vote to kick thing. It was way too fast to be a vote. It happened 5x in a row. This has never happened prior to last night. My only assumption was a slow network on my end. Any insight to why this was happening? Thanks in advance.

did it say "map not found" or "could not access map" or something similar?

Honestly I cant say. Don't believe so. It was fast when it happened. I didn't even see the green check marks at the top.

There is a glitch when running dungeons. If you vote to kick a disconnected player, new players that join will be automatically kicked. They'll keep joining and leaving every few seconds. Eventually a player will join and stay connected (usually). I think the original player that was disconnected has to reconnect to neverwinter or something.

That does make sense. Appreciate it. It was driving me mad.

I am trying my best to understand the etiquette as it relates to dungeons and do whats best for the team play. But I think I will go mad and ballsitic if I experience the whole boot and loot before the final boss. Heard some folks will do that just to be greedy.

There are a lot of Arses/Toxic players in the game that Boot. I strongly suggest finding a Guild or coordinating with 2 other players prior to running the dungeon to avoid this.

Good idea. Is anything being done to minimize this from the developers? Or is it just the aspect that jerks gotta be jerks?

The developers won't do anything. However, it does look like most (all?) loot in dungeons in mod 6 is a personal drop. The boot and looters won't have any cause to do as they do. Then they'll probably all go back to CoD!

Mine were vote kicks right out of the gate at times. Easy to spot. Was kicked ×4 from PK one I was the 19k cw carrying a 10k pug group. May have to find another guild mine has been busy with irl events lately and pugs are still a joke. Tc

Some of my best runs have been from asking for peeps to pm me for invites to do PK runs, only had one instance of someone trying to boot so we boot ed them after we sussed who it was! Keep an eye out for my pk run invites if you want a better chance of not being booted. Just want to add though that last night I done 3 in a row and didnt win ONE SINGLE LOOT!

Sucks. Happened to me couple of days ago where I got nothing other than spare change. I was even passing on stuff I couldnt use but it became apparent that folks were pressing need and greed on everything.

I dont mind need and greeding on everything, I do it quite often, it would prefer the chance to win the loot than no chance at all.

True I can see how if you pass on stuff it lessens your chances even more o getting something. As I am still understanding the mechanics, I read that is how some were getting booted. Unsure how in the frenzy of battle folks would know who to boot.

We sussed it because they tried to boot 3 different people which only left one who was a friend of someone, the boots stopped for the rest of that game and the next run.
