So I am a OP and just went to Icewind Dale to try out this new patch and the supposedly lower hit points of the mobs over there. If you lowered the mobs hit points, I sure didn't notice it. Not one bit. Either you still need to rethink how many hit points the mobs have there or you need to seriously buff the damage the OP can dish out. I for one do not remotely have the kind of time needed to finish 1 quest over there let alone 3 quests. Seriously it took like 4 minutes to kill 1 bear and I have to kill 8 of them. I don't need to kill the bear in 3 seconds but the kind of time it takes even after the patch still is just ridiculous. I don't have the best equipment out there but my OP is pretty decent but Icewind Dale and I am sure Well of Dragons are still off limits for me. Not because I can't survive but because it takes entirely too long to accomplish anything. Either because everything has to many hit points or the damage I can do is just way to low. I have avoided going over there for this very reason and thought maybe it would be different with the new reductions you said you did, but it's not.

I go there on my Lvl 70 GF and get bored quick, not because she can't kill them, but because it takes so much longer.
Are you sure you know what you are doing?
My advice: Take no counsel from this guy...
...unless he's Dev Light, maybe...
My Advice: Think before you speak. TY
Now go and solo IwD that way. Pala BO magic doesn't help there, and that's what I understood the opening question was aimed at. It'll be somewhat tedious with 2.2 ArPen. Party-Pally is all nice and well, and terribly impressive in a party, but...
...some people want to go their own way once in a while, and even with a Paladin this is quite possible. Though ofc some people feel so cuddly well among their peers that they don*t ever try...
And as far as my set up goes, if it didn't take so much RP to level everything up, I would probably be doing a lot better. Sadly, I don't have a money tree growing in my back yard to buy all the necessary RP needed to level up my gear nor the kind of time needed to grind for it. Being a vip might help a bit if I get items out of the loot boxes to make AD on. But it all takes time.
Taking away the hit points they added a few weeks back did a good job for the dps classes but really didn't help the non dps classes much. Maybe when mod 8 comes out, they can make the old campaign zones a little more solo freindly for non dps classes as well. So we don't have to try and find a uber dps class to help us kill stuff there in any reasonable amount of time.
I like to run the landscape solo, what is wrong with that. Dungeons and HE's are for groups and I enjoy that. Landscape should be semi easy ( fun ) for everyone. Not a chore, and it is still a chore for non uber dps classes.
other class got better "AoE" than GF class that i played, what they got for AoE was the mass taunting and not enough damages, remember, Devs nerfed in-combat regeneration for tanks. it was only way it get heals if DC are busy healing others or healer got knock out when tanks are being outflanked.
True...your damage is pretty good for an OP...but your GWF need some advices if he makes only 60mio. Sure the SW ( i guess) is a puppet master, but 60 mio for a GWF? I think he need some advices ^^.
BTT:
They reduced the HPs in IWD. Sure they did. But they still tough. If you wanna do it faster, do it in a grp and thats it. Problem solved.
