edit: now launcher has technical difficulties message, gameplay should be ok, but how to get into game? any tips? launcher tries to connect for several hours and nothing
The launcher for Neverwinter is still broken! The last update didn't change anything. Please fix the launcher -- for me it stays stuck on the screen after cryptic -- this is true for both of my computers one win 8.1 and the other win 7 I am using Explorer on both of them.The delay on this fix is inexcuseable!

Need more details on this. What exact problem are you having? Is it the Graphics "black screen" problem, or another issue?

My daughter's computer has a "Loading" screen and it doesn't progress from that to the character selection screen. I'm guessing that with the new patch there's a compatibility issue with her computer and the game client. We uninstalled the game and ARC launcher and then reloaded both. Problem still continues. Game worked fine before SH update. Now, it won't continue into the game. Any idea how to get her online?
it comes again the same problem like when they made the Tiamat patch.At that time i have tried too with uninstalling and reinstalling the game,arc and drivers. After 8 days i had no hope anymore to be able to play the game. i read most posts here in forum and i found a few saying u have to lunch the game and.... wait (don`t touch anything. not even move the mouse).How it was my last option i have try it and.....after a few min it worked. This time i will try only this last option.
in my case it also crashes on the 2nd screen by switching priority to desktop and giving the message "display driver stopped working and has recovered" and then switching back to game with a black screen and the loading animation on the mouse, all of which lasts until i swap back to desktop and the game actually crashes with the gameclient.exe crash message. never happened prior to mod 7
edit: selecting safe mode in the game options(without actually starting windows in safe mode) did allow to start and play the game
"Bug Report" and reposting in this thread as advised from social media in regards to the game client. This is day 9 since Strongholds was released and 1st patch since strongholds. I am still getting the same issues as before "display driver stopped working and has recovered" I followed you guys prompting of intructions as posted thru the forums by Strumslinger in thread "graphics client crash issue" I just posted there after todays patch. I am getting the samething 9 days ago. I followed the instructions given on that thread by strumslinger on August 12:
We believe this issue needs its own thread. The developers are currently aware and are actively working on a fix. In the meantime, here's a list of a few workarounds that other players have mentioned working for them.
Open options in the launcher at the top and type in -d3d9 or -d3d11Enable 0 into the Command Line.
Close the launcher, open it again, then try launching the client.
Make sure to update all your graphics drivers.
In the launcher, click options at the top, click the Force Verify box and start the game in Safe Mode.
Once the loading screen has appeared, simply wait for a good 5 minutes without clicking anything.
I feel that with given the lack of response and clarity also transparency this has become a major problem in this community and the issues in the game. Problems raging from Dungeons, missions, AD, ETC......dungeons unavailable to play on PC like Cloak Tower and other dungeons as you progress in level. I found out thru Xbox after just getting one and enjoying NW on it, that come next month September the dungeons on PC will be unable to play on XBOX i think u guys have a major problem with the software and platform this game operates on. PLEASE FIX CLIENT ISSUE AND ADDRESS LACK OF TRANSPARENCY TO YOUR COMMUNITY, I still want to play this game online #NWPC.
