WoD - Tiamat

OK, have not for maybe a couple months ventured into WoD and attempted Tiamat. When I last did prior to this weekend, there were so many peeps in the staging area or organizing outside the doors.

Now, I don't see the masses. Even the mass hoard running from the green dragon to the next in the Well.

So, I went to fight Tiamat about four or five times. I am not real consistent with it because each attempt I noticed with around 11'ish minutes remaining I am nearly there by myself. The small hoard that entered were. I would stay in to work on rotations. The consolation for not defeating is not bad.

What am I missing? Why the fast mass departure?

    On one run on Saturday, I galloped up to the Green summoner and realised I was on my own,
    this is 10 seconds in,
    managed to take down the summoner and noticed a 10gs CW helping, I am a 16.8 HR,
    went to Black but died,
    at the campfire not a soul, it was just me and the CW, everyone else must have entered and turned straight round and left, I believe there is a lot of sabotage antics being played.
    Managed 2 wins over the whole weekend.
    Another run we had all heads down to a quarter, then for the final take downs, which should have been an easy win, there was no dps, the big hitters had quit so it was another loss. I suppose it is just luck if you get with a good group.

    Yeah, of all the attempts, only one win. Made the top ten.

    Was expecting mostly wins but not the case this past weekend.

    I had some terrible Tiamat attempts over the weekend. Only one win out of about 8 or 9 tries. I decided to stop for a while and wait for Tier 4. We were close two times -- one try even showed the white head death animation, but still no victory. I think the good players are waiting until we get to Tier 4. Once we hit Tier 4, some of those losses would probably be victories. We'll have fewer deaths because of the +5000 hit points, better damage output when everyone gets +1000 power, and the dragon soul cooldown reduction will help too. Also, people can't farm the Tiamat orbs now, so we're losing those players. We hadn't hit Tier 4 last night. Is it up this morning?

    What do you mean not able to farm the Orb? I lost my chance at getting one dropped?

    It only drops when Tier 4 is unlocked which is taking that bit longer each week - might be unlocked when I get home from work today hopefully. Some people seem to prefer selling coffers rather than donating them unfortunately.
