I think it is a good idea to be able to donate VIP (and maybe other items) to players.

If I want to give a guild member VIP status i can't buy it and give it to him (asume they don't want it sold on AH), but if I pay for it and Donate it to someone else with no gain for me I don't think that would be a problem Please give us a donate button or something for this task
There are more than BIS players in this game
RIP Real Tiamat, RIP Real Demogorgon RIP real Temple of the spider. Why remove non bis content to give to bis players ????
FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base
Changes are getting so bad i would rather prefer no new changes (RIP ICE FISHING in winter fest)

    While this would be awesome, people would find a way to exploit it. So they won't let us have it. Go buy a pre-paid card and give the person you wish to have VIP the code.

    I do kind of understand why they don't allow us to do this for most things on the zen shop (AD/Item sellers would start selling stuff off the Zen shop even more than they already do), but I do kinda wish I could gift people things like mounts or packs. Having to go the prepaid card route is annoying.

    They still offer some packs for actual money, right? There should at least by a way to buy those packs (since you have to use actual money anyway) and gift them to people, rather than having to give them money/a prepaid card to get it.

    Would be good if you could gift friends/partners/kids stuff like mounts, VIP and AD/Zen but I guess that would be exploited by gold sellers.

    I was thinking about something like this and came up with the idea that some items people may want to gift to others would be purchaseable only by people that already have a history of buying zen with $. They would have 2 versions of an item, the usual / regular one that people buy for themselves with any kind of zen, and a second 'gift pack' version that would be mailable in-game (whether they could be put up on auction house or tradeable would be optional / up to Cryptic) that only people with a clean history of buying zen with credit card / paypal / whatever would be able to purchase.
    Gift cards have their place, but something like this could be a nice surprise from husband to wife (or vise versa) or even just among friends. From zen mounts to the dragon race pack, could be a nice additional revenue source for Cryptic. Should not take much to 'flag' an account to be eligible for this as far as I know.

    They could go the same route Blizzard does - you have to use a credit card and order off the website to gift to people, and you have to have the email address associated with their account. That would be nice.

    The problem with the gift card is I seriously don't think I have any chance of getting one where I live.... Africa

    As long as its directly gifted through the game - as in not traded, or as an item. Many games have a feature where on buying a cash item (or zen store item in this instance) you can choose whether its for yourself or a gift and then use the @ handle of the person you want it sent to as a gift.

    Dragons have been temporarily removed. I believe there was a bug they are fixing

    People may use fraud stolen cards to make gifts to people they wish to see banned. I recall other known mmo and how company warned (after facts) about not accepting gifts from strangers. In some games pvp doesn't end on just life threats :)
