Hello everyone, if your looking to meet other rangers with skills, tips, and tricks this is the place for you. Feel free to post any questions on here and converse with others in a friendly manner.
I would like to participate in an ongoing discussion about BIS equipment and stat distribution for my Ranger. There are just not that many active discussions in forums.
Unfortunately, not many people post here. And, I am not undefeated, so unable to join the elite group ...
Good topic, I tend to use 2+2 the grand warden and royal guard. With the release of Tiamat I have been considering wearing the helm and chest to stack more power from the Templar set and keep either royal guard or grand warden depending what stat bonus I need more of. The overload slot is a nice bonus as well.
Now as for stats you want to get your RI aka armor pen to 24%=2400k arm pen. Keep in mind that strength gives us a percent based amount that you can factor into the equation. From there stack crit to 2500-3400K. Its up in the air right now on if we even really warrant from that much. Then stack power as high as possible aim for over 9K. Currently life steal is very strong for any aoe class and is the best survivability for pve that we have. The rest of the stats for Trappers are honestly no good. What you will need is not even worth mentioning because by default you get enough from gear. Main stat wise dex, wis, and str.

Just to add to this, it is for sure worth grabbing the Draconic Templar helm and chest piece while keeping Royal Guard gloves and boots as the armor pen is invaluable. Once I am able to make double slotted rings however, I wanna test to see if I can stack enough armor pen through having double slotted rings equipped on my character and any ioun stone with double ring slots (ioun stone of radiance only?). If that works, then I'd switch out the royal guard for grand warden. Once dread ring comes out, I'd prob switch out the grand warden to the 2 set from that campaign as it gives 450 power.
On another note, twin-blade storm grants us 12% (right?) damage as long as we hit MORE than two enemies right? The artifact off hand only increases this feat to 14%. What about blade storm? As all I farm nowadays is either eLOL or Tiamat, the need for single target damage has become crucial to me. Lostmauth I'll run Aspect of Serpent and Blade Storm as no other passive helps increase damage in a fight with a single target, maybe Aspect of the Lone Wolf if there's no cleric present. Tiamat is the same, Aspect of Serpent and Blade Storm. It gives 15% bonus melee damage with 25% to proc but with the artifact off hand bonus, it goes up to 40% bonus damage! Think this could edge out twin blade storm in aoe situations even? Havent had any luck unlocking that particular feat on my off hand so haven't got a chance to test it.
I don't use twinblade storm or blade storm. I use the pathfinder build so i have on aspect of the pack and serpent at all times. Now I have played with the stromwarden build but it has never been able to compare to pathfinder build. I usally beat it by 2 mil or better.
Blade storm however has a 25% chance to proc and projects 5% of your attackers dmg in a aoe effect around you and up to 30% dmg if you use the class feature.
stormwarden archer. constricting arrow, rain of arrows, hindering shot (xbox one currently) archery build (will respect for the longshot perk in archery in mod6, nothing like having 3 perfect vorpals as a feat) atm I run full grand wardens to boost my rain of arrows, and match/ beat same set tricksters, never beaten a fury scourge though
Archery builds got some neat feats but trapper is all around better in my opinion. I have never once seen that build beat a trapper. Im sure your single target dmg is better though better at places like elol.

That's what I did....
