Are lockbox items obtained with VIP keys bound?

    I don't think so. I opened a few lockboxes yesterday, with a few keys bought with coupons + my free VIP key, nothing was bound. It was identical to a zen store key in every way (even stacked with them), however, so if you are on probation, your free key will probably bind anything you open with it until you're off probation.

    I'd love to get an official confirmation on this, I've been thinking about getting some vip time but won't until I know about some of the details like this for sure.

    I used my VIP key today, got a genie's gift and threw it right up on the AH.....so no, not bound.

    Lockbox items are only bound if you open them while on probation. You'll get a confirmation message in that case.

    Not bound, but the prices for those items will tank within the next few days... so, better sell anything you get right now.

    My first two days gave me black ice special packs, which are pretty worthless :/

    Random is random, it's like a lotto ticket, except you always get a prize, not always a good one but still.

    That said I bought vip and can confirm that it is not bound.

    Got at least enough bars from the lockboxes to trade them in for a Coalescent Ward, so not a total bust.

    I don't know if you can claim it from the gateway, but in-game there is a tab on your inventory screen that lets you claim your per-day stuff.

    I do not see a gateway option. My guess is in game only.

    You claim it from the items panel in-game, there's a new VIP tab.

    I got a Lostmauth arty the first day, not bound (but I kept it anyway :) )

    Arg, whichever one was dropping from enemies before strongholds dropped, since all the others were in an alt's bank at the time. :P I've already forgotten its name.

    some items are worth some value, some are not, the really valuable items will retain their value regardless, they are usually involved certain artifacts, mounts and the such.

    Regardless, you are most likely to get things of little value a bunch I got a bunch of R7 from a companion training bundle.. which I just used to refine a artifact more.. Second day a genie puch, which I put on ah..

    Thats always been the case 95% of the time its pure junk 4 % more is of limited value and 1% is worth alot. But while you r doing all of this for ten bucks, you can earn a few 100k in RP and/or a couple 100k in AD while also getting enough bars for a cward.

    Overall for 10 dollars in value, you earn 50% more value for a cward a month.
