I want to do 3 things with professions. 1st is black ice. I do the black ice already and unlocked my 7 and 8 slot and generate around 10k ad daily. So here is my question on tailoring I want to make the high end shirt and pants. Will tailoring make any thing for another class besides CW. I am at level 12 now and still only stuff for CW. On jewel crafting I want to do the personal rings with 2 slots. will jewelry do that? Trying to find a way to make AD other than Leadership which I can do in the day time. At work I am a tech support and have my tablet for Gateway but no Game computer. What other professions enable a AD income that is dependable. If I cant come up with some other income I wont be able to progress in game and I one have one toon due to these restrictions now.

Tailoring only makes shirts and pants for CWs right now. They are BoE, so you can sell them on the AH -- but it takes 4 mithral tools to have a 60% chance to make gemmed shirts and pants, so you have to factor in the cost of the tools plus basically double the cost of the materials required (dragon egg and Unified element) to see what selling price would make you a profit. For most people, it is much more cost-effective to just buy the gemmed shirts and pants when their character needs them.

As for Jewelcrafting, you need level 25 JC to transform Gemmed Adamant rings into Personalized rings, so it is a good idea to level your jewelcrafting. The gemmed adamant rings again require 4 mithral tools and dragon eggs, so you might want to just buy the gemmed rings from the AH, then craft them to personalized (this last step does not require special tools).

It is possible to make an income from crafting, but there is the up-front cost of the tools, and the likelihood that you will basically throw away every other item you craft -- since the ungemmed versions sell for 5-20k AD, compared to the cost of 90k AD (rings) or 125k AD (shirts and pants) in raw materials.

Look around the AH for places you may be able to make AD, without needing a big investment up-front. There may be areas where you can take raw mats, put in your crafting time, and create intermediate products that sell at a profit.

I thought the gemmed rings were bop? Pretty sure that is what it says on the task tooltip when I hover over 'end product'. Which really bummed me out since I had maxed an alt on JC but am now leveling it all over again on my main. The amulets are boe but the rings are bop afaik.

No the gemmed rings, belts and necks are BoE, the personalized are BoP.

Believe me, I've sold plenty of the gemmed rings.

You probably don't have high end enough companions yet, but when you do, I'd recommend SCA. Once you can do the epic dungeon, you can get the companion rings (among other things), which are pretty lucrative. I think in terms of making and selling stuff - any of the crafting skills, at lvl 20 and 25 can make Gemmed gear, but you have to have a Dragon Egg and even with full purple tools and the artifact (forgehammer) you might still fail the task. Rather than that, you might consider Alchemy - you can make higher end potions like the Superior Flask of Potency, they tend to sell pretty well and can make you an alright income provided you didn't buy the mats to start with. None of this compares to leadership, sadly, but still.

Also, making the unified elements and elemental aggregates can net you some AD too, but even with purple guys, those tasks take several days to complete.
