This is my 2nd time I've had the chance to participate in this event. I do think it's fun, but the rewards are kinda meh.

Is anyone able to collect enough medals to get several of those special lock boxes (don't remember the name of them)? Those seem to have the better rewards. I may be able to get 1 or 2 by the end of the event but I don't know if it's worth the effort.

The only worthwhile reward is the Archer, everything else is rubbish. The chances of getting one are slim...

Last event I was able to gather up 3 whole medals all together with 2 characters. It took the whole 7 days to get them. By far not enough to buy one lockbox.
Every 6 hours you can get 1 pack and you need 12 to Exchange for a medal.
You need 3 characters, collecting the packet every 6 hours on all of them to get 1 medal at the end of each day.
If you can continue this for a week you would have enough medals when the event just ended.

Its not that hard to get the boxes, I was able to get 3-4 last event fairly easily. Only picked up one medic but was an easy 300k. The fact that you can only use 1 blue cart to try and get 3 packs does slow it down but as all of your characters can generate 3 ish a day its not bad.

I didn't find the archer all that interesting. Neither the active nor passives are significant. The BM is very handy. The rewards aren't insane but their not hard to get either so its a reasonable balance.

I grinded and got enough medals for 1 pack this event....I got a RANK 1 Radiant enchant, and a LESSER mark of potency. Needless to say I threw my controller through my TV and then proceeded to jump out my window onto a bed of glass.

In other words, I have quit this event. It has not been nice to me lol

Yeah I don't like the event. Not worth wasting a profession slot to me. I'll just buy a medic if I want one.

For me, I try at every event to get the best stuff. I don't need anything else, I am happy with my character. I am just over 18kgs now, and have about 65mil ad, not rough but actual diamonds. So I don't really NEED to do anything else, but I participate in the events. This event royally screwed me with that chest, so I am done with it lol.

I was able to unlock a couple boxes last time got 4 medals for the encounters th rest were thru supplies I will say the medic is a very good companion especially for solo play once you get him to lvl 30 and put some epic gear on him you are golden. I would suggest especially if you have open slots to get some other tunes to level 10 so you can run professions with them. You don't have to gear them just use them for diamonds and supplies also a great way to refine gear when your mains are at their limit

I think the issue is that the number of chests you can realistically get is so low that makes this event not that fun. I understand that the chest will have a low rate of good rewards, but let us be able to get a few more during the event. But I imagine they do it this way to encourge people to make the Supplies to sale on AH for a quick buck.

It's a rare drop during HEs in the Siege. Chances to get one are pretty rare so people sell them for crazy prices.

I got a Battlefield Medic last time around on my very first chest, my buddy got the blue mount. Not bad drop rates at all.

Or, just don't bother with the event lol. I am done with it. The grind you have to do for just 1 medal is insane, and to have to get 7 medals in 1 week is crazy.

I would try if you can to get a couple more characters to level 11 (if possible) my reasoning for this is this.... I currently have 12 characters. Only 7 do I actually use on a regular basis the others are used for events like this and for making diamonds and refining my overflow and used for storage from my mains. It takes me about 20 minutes to cycle thru my upkeep everytime I log in with that being said I have been able to.open 2 chests already. Every 6 hours I have 12 supplies turn them in and get 2 medals. I also got a couple of medals from the battlefield so that helped.. I know this is the extreme end of things but even if you had 6 toons that's still gathering supplies pretty quickly not counting what you can get from the battlefield.
But if you are only running one or two characters..... Yes this is going to be very hard to get and I could see how it would seem not obtainable or not worth it.
