Leaving and returning to reset rewards

ipinkbellyipinkbelly Member Posts: 25 Arc User
Please remove showing the rewards in our journal when doing a skirmish. I mean I myself would love to pick what reward I get but having my group wait 15-20 min so YOU can get what you want is rude. I would of left the group after the first 5 min but I don't understand why you are allowed to queue back to the instance you were just kicked from. So I had two choices last night, either continue to re-queue with the group that instant kicks me or stay with the group that is resetting their rewards and I only needed to do one more skirmish for that day before I go to bed. This happens to me daily and I feel like it's getting ridiculous.

They will not remove the feature, best to adjust how you play to not have this frustration. Take a few minutes to gather a full team of five and que with them. This way you can set an expectation with the group and everyone burns through them with no shenanigans.

Personally I love this feature. Now I know before I go through an entire Dungeon that my time is worth it. I hate going through a Dungeon trying to get a piece of tier armor only to end up with a blue item in the chest at the end or another belt/neck piece I don't need. This is one of the best features they have added in my opinion. At most I have had to go out and re-enter 7 times. That took all of 4 minutes? 30 seconds each time.

I don't really care to check it myself but I have patience and I am pretty understanding that some people want to reset it. Sure no problem I'll wait, heck I'd even patiently wait 7 or so minutes. But if 4/5 people are all trying to reset to get their desired item, I have found it to be greater than 10 min...always. So I guess the only way I can "adjust" how I play is if I join these people and do the same because this happens often.

I am pretty sure that it is an oversight, not a feature.

It is a feature that was added, was in patch notes iirc.

I don't mind. If I feel like it is taking too long, I just start running ahead and kill stuff to shorten the way for everybody. It is not that hard ;)

I'd love to do that, I even tried on a few occasion and sadly I die. Perhaps I am weak? Should a CW (I have roughly 14.5k GS) and I feel like I fairly know how to play a CW. Could they be able to solo everything?

My main is a 17,3k gs CW, but you should still be able to survive quite well. Your best bet is to freeze them, then teleport to their sides to get more out of combat advantage and then lift them up. After that you should restart your rotation. Of course it all depends on your talent specs and powers you use. There are some good guides out there (even though they are quite outdated) you get a good impression where to go. In the end you should play the skills you like the most in a proper way and adjust the rest to that kind of play style. :)
I know this is probably not the thing you want to hear, but sadly I only found out what fits my playstyle only with trying out different stuff. So it works for me, but might not for anyone else.

It was a feature that was added. It is NOT supposed to be abused like this, i GUARANTEE you. The primary mechanic of end game mmos is gear grinding. I would expect it to be fixed in a future update. If not they could always make the penalty for leaving a dungeon/skirmish a 2 hour requeue ban, makes it faster to just run the dungeon than try to requeue.

If you want to requeue, form a group of 5. It is no one elses burden that YOU dont want to play the game as intended, quit being jackoffs and put the effort you tell other people to make by gathering groups in yourself. No one liles your malarkey.

To be honest, there is no reason to be that mad about other people trying to get specific loot, especially with Tiamat dropping T2 gear and the prices in the AH falling to prices worth salvaging. of course it can be annoying if a lot of people are doing it, but usually I only meet one guy in about 3 runs. That is alright, if you put in the factor that there is a lot less vote kicking now, which was a reason to be far more angry about. and 4 people is more than enough to complete most dungeons

IN my experience it happens every elol or esot i try to run then i usually get lobby jacked at final boss. Not fun.

Can't believe it's intended. No one is actually playing the game, they are zoning in and out rerolling for gear? Give me a break. You're supposed to run the dungeon a few times to get your gear, and this game has the benefit of allowing you to salvage or sell the pieces you don't need on top of it all.

My sons CW is only around 13k GS and he can pretty well solo most T2 Dungeons. My wife and I along with the 2 PUG people we get have a hard time keeping up with him. We laugh about it and say we are just the cleanup crew picking up the loot. He averages 30-40 Million damage a run. The next closest person is under 10 mil but only because they do not get a chance to kill much. I have no clue about his build be he says its a high crit build. So it is possible if you look up some guides and follow them.

As for the rerolling to get your items. Someone said a penalty for leaving the group? You are just zoning in and out and not leaving the group so I am not sure how a penalty would work in that instance.

When us 3 run together we are not a "burden" on others as generally it is only 1 of us that rerolls on a run and the rest of the group can easily start. In the majority of our runs the gear we need switches after 1 or 2 re zones so that takes all of 1 minute? Where I think some of you are experiencing issues is with Elol and players trying to get artifact items which takes multiple re-queues. Any respectable person wouldn't do that to the group. Even us, on the off chance after re zoning a few times if it doesn't switch to what we want we just go with whatever is there. There is a limit in my opinion when running team based events. Unfortunately not every player thinks like that.

Maybe I just have horrible luck because I usually do 3 times a day for the daily and 3/3 runs have the skirmish take longer than 15 min just to start and on average I experience 3-4/5 people re-rolling because they appear to all be in the same guild. I really don't mind waiting up to 10 min but honestly I really think 20 min is too long.

I don't mind it but I just find it odd that I should solo as much as I can by myself so others can do their own thing and join me in the end to get their chosen reward. People will agree or disagree in this matter. I get the point, if I don't like it I should just leave the group.

Oh wow in skirmishes? That I don't get since they are so quick.

I'll admit I have done this, but I only do it 3-5 times. After that I just go through the dungeon. I will also tell my team to go ahead and if they get to first boss then I go through the dungeon. There are ways to be respectfull about this feature.

If it is in skirmishes then it could be people just using the queue as a quick trip back to the Enclave. Some skirmishes and dungeons will put you next to the exit of whatever area it is for. Say you're near the end of a zone, instead of running back, you can enter a dungeon/skirmish by the queue, leave it by the door and end up at the start of the zone that it's in. Then you can just step back through the exit to the Enclave.
