Blade Storm vs Storm Spell

Hunter rangers get a passive that has a 25% chance to proc same as the new spell storm but only does 15% of ur damage which is LOW for melee hits while spell storm has its own damage meter and it can CRIT any change to this?

    Piercing blade still ignores DR etc. Any changes to this?
    Chars: CW, DC, GF, GWF, HR and TR.

    Piercing blade pierces. Its working as intented and is stated on the tooltip

    He's talking about the Stormwarden feat Blade Storm, which has a 25% to do 5% of your last melee attack in an aoe around you, and cannot crit. Hunter Rangers have other very good passives for PvE if you're stormwarden though, namely Twin-Blade Storm and Aspect of the Serpent, and Blade Storm is still viable the way it is.

    I say... nerf spell storm...cw can now do 500k aoe dmg with one spell, just saw it today.

    Been suggested many times to move the damage from a dumb op passive to an active power. Still nothing.

    Does the 25% damage buff from the golden dragon blade artifact feature make blade storm more viable over twin blade storm?
