I have searched high and low for a new CW build that is not the Renegade Ironzerg build. No luck. It seems everyone is using that one. What is a viable alternative besides full Oppressor? Has anyone tested with ACT and have tips?
In PVE party buffs are great from renegade. For pvp, I could imagine the heals u can get is the key for choosing renegade. It is the most popular build. Sayajinx gave some other choices.

I have created my own TR build out of examining the facts. Does it fit with how I like to play? Does it deliver that with some benefits?
When SH comes out I will be respecing to a Scoundrel build. Try something new... just because people said it is broken does not mean that it is impossible to play and enjoy.

SS Renegade/Thaum is based on Spell twisting and being able to buff allys as well as spam CC. It does all of this very well and the damage is not entirely lackluster. Focusing on Control is just going to make you weak overall. I play Ironzerg's SS Renegade and it does a damn great job of being Tanky/Backup Healing/Good Personal Damage and Raising Party Damage.
You want a good guide for SS Thaumaturge CW? Here's one: Role a GWF. The GWF damage at the moment is so ridiculously broken that if you're playing correctly you can out dps every other class by a significant margin. Scourge Warlock is also really good if you're abusing the damnation exploit (Don't blame them, their class is so worthless with out it). Hell even a TR who knows how to play HAMSTER all over CW dps. The only class that is on par if not below CW dps is the HR, but guess what? They control adds better than CW's if specced correctly. So if you enjoy being a buff-bot with mediocre dps then CW is your class. But why buff/debuff when you can melt enemies with broken classes designed by yours truly - the negligent developers.
It could have been a chance to crit, not a flat no crit ever thing. And the CW should not have been forced to use SS as its major source of damage. This is an advice post, no need to troll it.
...the similar extra damage conferred the DC Righteous tree feat Fire of the Gods (as DoT) never crits, either. So the nerf lends to some equality here, and isn't without precendent...

They didn't hurt CW damage that bad. It only seems so because they buffed other classes and now they're often higher than us on the paingiver chart.

Hmm free damage that always crit? Yeah you're right they went overboard with the nerf.

This is what I went with, and I stacked over 7k recovery and 400 control bonus (with more CB to come). DPS isn't great, but I make lots of mob-cicles.

Few more "not that bad" nerf to the CWs or a Lostmauth fix and we will be outdpsed anything that moves including DCs...
