Clerics purposely trying to crash game?

My team started off behind near the beginning of the match halfway through we caught up and were ahead by 50. As soon as that happens I notice the enemy cleric starts spamming HG. They even cast it when we were 1v1. It did get laggy, but thankfully we didn't get disconnected. They seemed like a pretty experienced player, so they would have most likely heard about that daily being glitched. I could just be being paranoid, but has anyone else run into clerics that seem to be proactively trying to crash the game?

    That glitch seems to be fixed i have been using hallowed ground with no lag or d/c maybe it was just a lag spike at that time also when it was glitched it seemed to only effect my team when I used it

    I HG and AS in 1v1 to raise damage resistance. It has never lagged.... not once.
