Considering they had a month or so to get the prize ready, you'd think they'd have it good to go as soon as the event ended, guess not. But yeah, being tomorrow is hump day, getting pretty late in the "early week."
Like you deserve any prizes seeing the ENTIRE thing was rigged from the beginning.
aaaand how exactly is that ?
well, find a strong premade, win 5 matches, enough to be in top 40, then sleep on your rank. as long as everyone else is pvping, and losing ranks, you should be in great shape sitting outside pvp. you dont have to worry about getting kicked out the instances or having leavers in your party, or watching your score go down after winning.
ofcourse the numbers are not accurate, but you can sleep on your rank, so the whole thing is BS
If we're lucky we'll get it this week patch. Im quite sure they're too lazy to drop it earlier.

Most of the numbers related to the top ranked players... did not change much in the last few days... to a week. Which suggests that they stopped entering into matches.

You do drop in the rank if you only win 5 matches. Most decent player at the beginning win their first 5 matches. Because at beginning it randomly matched. If u check the leaderboard, most of them are from pvp guilds, which is reasonable for me. Better geared players and with stronger teammates are on top. The board is not that bad, but it is not perfect for sure.

The majority of the reasons that these people were on top was due to iL... and the team that they were with... than actual skill.
I have a hard time believing that on an even playing field these players would be as skilled as someone who was in the top 100 pages... with a 2.5 iL. In fact I have a hard time believing that they were anything more than their iL.
Which is why I suggested basing matchmaking off of the PvP campaign completion %.

I agree the gears are VERY IMPORTANT, however your character setup, your fighting style, they are all very important too. Knowing the weakness of your opponent, knowing when to time/land your attacks, how to maximize dmg output and minimize dmg intake, how to chain combo, how to switch, how to kite and all these, yes, gear is important, but skills and experience are also very important winning a game.
I wont be suprised that even the BiS players still keeps thinking how they can improve their character each day, how to distribute their stat points, how to tweak around the skill/sets or practice what they can do when opponents uses a certain tactic...etc

What do you think it takes to win when you are against other folks that are at equal IL (4k for instance)? What do you think happens to the folks who were once 2.5k IL with "skill" that become 4+K IL? Do they lose skill, they all disappear...what?

How many matches did you have... against players/teams that were 100% equal to your iL?
I would think, as is the usual for a human being... we grow complacent without sufficient challenge at all times... we do grow to take things for granted. That is humanity...
Stimulus creates adaptation. Challenge creates the ability to rise and become more... or it creates failure and people giving up.
If you have challenge with every match, which I can guarantee you do not, you would stay sharp. Many humans will rely on their being OP... much like a very talented sprinter will not push himself if he has competition that is far below his level. So he won't push himself until he reaches the finals.
I am not saying that they are without a drop of skill... quite the opposite. What I am saying is that ALL things being equal... I expect the hungry one to win. Yes, there will be some defeat vs a skilled player... but out of 5 matches the 'hungry one' wins 3.

If 5 guys in leaky row boats are racing against 5 guys in high-end rowing rigs... it is obvious who wins.
Does that reduce the skill of the guys in the row boats?
Does this mean the guys in the high-end rowing rigs are better?
Does this mean that either is more skilled than the other?
NO...
Put them all in leaky row boats who would win?
The NCL was exactly this race.

Sorry bro, that^ was beautiful and all but no.
-There is little to no reward for beating low geared folks, which can include the opposite of a reward - you drop on ranking. (this is in regards to NCL ranking from earlier)
-Hungry doesn't equal skill nor is it gained by solely being "hungry". It comes with practice and more importantly, practice against skilled opponents. Do you think that 4K+ folks derive their skill from domination and GG alone? Think again.

Maybe you should join a pvp guild so you actually know how things go instead of presuming to know or just speculating.

You make assumptions that I have never been in a PvP guild. Not in this game, it won't happen... but I have in other games. Been playing MMOs with PvP for almost 20 years.
You cannot discount the skills and abilities of people who are less geared... just because they are not ranked as high as you are. Just as I do not discount the skill and ability of players who are BiS.
Experience does have a factor in it. As I said... "when all things are equal... the hungry one wins". The 'hungry one' usually has nothing to lose... and has not been able to rely on their gear to back them up.

I'm not taking about a pvp guild in another game. And when I say "join" that would be the present. Not -"have you joined in another game?"
Aaaaaand, I am not discounting skills of those who are 2.5k IL, sir. But mostly, they will have less experience than those who have been 2.5 and are now BIS, or those who are BIS and must apply skill against others who are BIS. Also, you seem to discount BIS players skill as a simple matter of gear dependency.
When I see posts like this, it appears that those who are 2.5k IL are working their asses off and want acknowledgement but are not getting it. But I say you should join a pvp guild HERE and NOW so you can see where you stand as far as skill and maybe someone will acknowledge your prowess. For all I know you are great at your gear level, I don't know. But what I do know is that a large amount of players at the BIS level do possess a very high level of skill. I say that because I am at that gear level but I am outclassed by many with more "skill".

Well said.
My joining a PvP guild, in this game, will not be happening. The only person I compete with... is myself.
Atwil "At" - Tiefling TR / Saardush - Black Dragonborn GWF / White - Tiefling OP
pvpset with no enchants, neither in armor- nor in weaponslot
same goes for the rest of the allowed gear
no artifacts or legendary mounts with whatever sort of bonus
all that or some sort of standardized free4all same-lvl loadout for everyone
maybe with unupgradeable enchants u could freely pick if u want some extra variety
else every discussion about a fair-for-all pvp in this game is pointless...
or do u think your superskilled rainbow pug party is gonna win against my t.neg t.elven t.fey packing and striderriding premade thats just facerolling over their keyboards?
give me that truely skillbased gear i mentioned and im back to the pvp arena faster than u can throw me an invite
else its pay for gear and gear for win and we end up with bis premade vs bis premade if lucky but most likely its a onesided roflstomp
and fyi i got the piratecommander (not the raider) so i know my fair share of pvp in nwo...
