Small change to make SW casual friendly class.

Change Wrathful souls feat from +100% more pet dmg and 15% LS heal to 90% dmg reduction from non boss attacks and aoe taunt for 3s every 5s.

This way even new and low geared SW's will be able to do easily all kind of solo content and it wont affect boss fights. (else it would make real tanks useless).

I can life with current SW dmg and CC's just make the pet more useful when choosing damnation path, that's all i ever want <3

There's already a feat for the puppet to gain more aggro. You can combine it with burning souls to have the effect you want. The puppet is already resistant to AOE so its good for leveling.

    Have fun on your SW.

My pet dies quite a lot still, at least in the campaign areas :/ Current agro doesnt seem to work well when fighting multiple enemies or ranged ones. At least that's my experience when doing dailies in DR.

I know there's some bug with certain bosses like scorpions in elol, this will probably get fixed. I meant non-boss npc like in IWD, DR, etc. Those can kill my pet quite fast.

Mobs in IWD and DR can kill players very easily too. Not sure what you expect.

Damnation SW respawns the puppet very quickly maybe focus more on cursing targets so the puppet will respawn when a mob dies. You can also use killing flames or one of the dailies to respawn the puppet.

quspiv I see your point, but I respectfully and wholeheartedly disagree. The Soul Puppet's damage is central to the spec, Mod 6 required a buff on the order of 8X to get the spec's damage output up to a respectable level. Anyone who played Damnation in Mod 5 (like me) knows those dark times. Gutting that feat would ill advised in my opinion. By the time you get to Wrathful Souls on your feat tree, you are well on your way to levelling your warlock, and aren't really "new" at it, soloing content is a different matter.

I think Mocking Spirits is a poorly designed feat, playwise and thematically, but it is what it is and unfortunately it's out there. Like the other locks mentioned, basically between this, Wrathful Souls, Syphoning Curse, and Borrowed Time (Soulbinder), and a healing companion you achieve the same effect.

When i was doing IWD daily, i had quite a bit of problems with raiders and wolfs. My pet couldnt hold agro for w/e reason and i couldnt choose when my pet dies, so basically i had to leave at least 1 target with low HP until my pet dies so i can get fresh pet, which lead to situation where more targets dpsed me instead of my pet. On top of that i had to avoid using aoe so this target with low hp doesnt dies until i want it to die and get new pet with full HP.

I went away from any kind of pet dps buff suggestion because im afraid that it could cause issues in pvp. Tanking pet is pretty much useless in pvp and causes no balance problems there while being very useful in pve.

    Mocking Spirit
    + 200/400/600/800/1000% more threat
and the Devs should add something like
+ 40/80/160/320/640% more hitpoints (only for the soul puppet of course)

Also, any healer companion should consider/target your soul puppet as "team member" and heal it too.
Not to mention, that the path finding of the soul puppet should be on the same level as of companions, so that the soul puppet stays with you... or if it gets stuck/can't move anymore, it teleports to your location.
That should make questing/leveling a bit more easier.

Why didn't you simply suggest the pet be healed when a new one should be summoned. That would seem to be the simplest fix.

Maybe it's just me, but I find pet healing a bit unreliable, especially with mobs being able to crit. Bonus dmg would still have to go away in either case, cause of potential pvp issues.

In PvP puppet damage is extremely low compared to pve players simply move around to much. In pve the pet can contribute 20 to 30% if you max it out - full damnation line with multiple points spent to specifically buff the pet, and smart game play to keep it alive. In PvP its like 5% it simply doesn't move and attack fast enough.

If they changed other classes capstones to do 5% increase damage in PvP I.e. renegade CW chaos magic giving a 5% damage buff rather then 30% we may need to worry about pet PvP balance, but currently its simply not a factor.

This would be kinda... stupid and terribad
I admit I'm a fairly casual player (pretty much doing dailies each day and that's it.), and I'm fine with wrathful souls as it is.

the damage the puppet deals is about 45% upwards in my case and i met a HB damnation who dealt about 70% with his puppet, seems your puppet is broken in a negative way?
depends where you go T1 T2 skirmishes

As soon as the Devs repair the soul puppet, it will do less then average damage in every place.
