Current 3 day event is impossible without tons of cash...

The current 3 day events top rewards are impossible to achieve…
By impossible, i mean that getting a Doohickey is impossible unless someone is willing to spend approx. 10million AD. Taking the basic dropped items, which are worth 5 refinement points each, it takes approx 10,200 of them to go from level 1 to level 7... The average drop rate per hour is around 30....even if you found a great place and could get 3x that, there are not enough hours in the event (72hrs) in order for you to get 10k. Typically, the events have high end prizes that are achievable if you spend enough hours each day that it is open. With this event, it’s impossible. There is no way a single person can get enough of the refinement items needed to get to the top tier items.
Let’s say you’re able to play 8 hours a day, each day, for the 3 day event and assuming you find a honey hole and can farm 50 per hour…. This person would only be able to pull in 1200 units before the event expired (8hrs x 50 per hour * 3 days = 1200). So, to hit this magical 10k number, you better have another 8 friends that are willing work the same amount of time and give you everything because that is the only way you are going to get it unless you’re willing to start buying them from the auction house. Currently they sell for roughly 1k AD each, so trying to buy your way to 10k will set you back a cool 10million AD… And let’s just say you either had the friends that would slave away for you, or that you were willing to buy them, what if you decided that you wanted to trade in that Doohickey for the top prize…..the chest with ‘a high probability’ to drop the mechanical mount. For 10million AD investment, I’d be EXTREMELY MIFFED if that went bust…which obviously it could. It’s not a guarantee, just a chance.
So….even if you dump the cash, it’s going to cost you 7 to 10M AD for each chance to try to get the top prize for this event. I don’t know about anyone else, but while I like a challenge (and I’m sure some elitist will find it just that) this is way past acceptable. Either someone completely screwed up on the drop rate or didn’t think through how hard it would be to get the top 2 prizes. Kind of worthless if it’s not even possible without spending tons of $$$.
It’s a real shame because I felt the concept of the event and the prizes were really neat.

Also if they won't us to do it over multiple events how about given us a storage chest so we can store event items or a extra bag for quest items only
I had guild mates who went all out because someone saw a Doohickey posted and disappear in the AH thinking it had sold.
A few million AD later the reality set in when others appeared and he saw that the same guy who had originally posted his actually had opened it and gotten the mount which STILL sits in the AH for 15million AD (and another for 12).
No one is going to buy that mount, nor will anyone most likely buy the Doohickey's that are still in the market.
The other guild members who went all out and spent millions pulled theirs off and got nothing at all out of the box, and now they may have quit the game after having spent $1000s since day 1.
Me personally? I only lost about 100k and so I can't complain. I put up two thingamabobs.
But I have no doubt that Arc will lose customers over this event and after further researching it I found an older thread from Reddit last year complaining about this event. Arc really should be ashamed of themselves for rolling this egg out and distancing themselves from many loyal customers who fell pray to the trap that this was going to be a great event after the awesome nine lock box preview.
It's almost like they knew they would make some real cash before double RP by doing this knowing full well people were going to be grinding and using dragon hoards so they won't be spending AD on blood rubys, but I they sure suckered quite a few on converting that cash to zen to ad to buy those grommets.
Disgusting.
