The loot window, is too large, It stacks below the boss bar and the boss debuff bar, and can literally take up the entire middle 1/3rd of your screen if you have the loot result window + Loot window + debuff bar + boss bar on your screen.
I found a thread on this in the pc section from 2013, didn't find any about x1. So here it be.
For the love of all gamers! set up an auto loot/roll system, or get that bloody thing out of my face in combat at the very least.
I am so sick of dungeons where pugs pick up random green junk in the middle of a fight! worse yet the middle of a boss fight where literally you cant see you character because of the **** loot window and boss bar and boss debuff window all stacked on top of each other!
And why? Why the heck isn't there auto loot? How about some auto loot and filters? If item crafting material, auto roll! if item is under level x Pass! If item is blue or higher, Roll! if item is for your class Roll.
Auto loot would resolve several issues, and deal with those loot kickers who use people to kill a boss then speed boot so they get the drops to themselves
Blind healer = dead party
blind cw = dead cw
healers and cw who have to take their thumbs off the sticks and press menu+ xywtf = not doing their job for x amount of time in the middle of a fight.
Please, Move the window or better yet, set up an auto loot system.
Sincerely,
The people trying to enjoy your game on X1.

This is a video game not your job! It's pathetic that people think they should get rewarded for doing the most damage or whatever. If your helping more than others than so what? You should feel proud if anything
I've died countless times being stuck in that menu. I'd love to be able to hide or minimize the option. I've actually passed on items I would have wanted just to be able to stay alive in battle. The announcement of who won that pops up is also way too large, and with new loot to vote on can basically cover the entire screen from top to bottom. Even with artifact weapons I'd rather have a straight pass on green weapons/armor option. Enchantments and resources aside, it's not something I'd want to focus on during dungeons.
Dungeon crawling etiquette. Read it, love it, live by it. Problem solved.
Mandatory read for anyone new to MMOs and some veterans among us would do well to re-read it as well.
Sadly most people don't view the forums and pay attention to etiquette. Common sense aside, I also think the fear of being booted has made some people have a 'grab it while you can' mentality. The kicking option has really brought out the worst in people... as well as created the worst reactions.

I hadn't thought of this aspect of the problem. I can see your point. One more reason to rework/abandon the Vote-to-Kick system. (That being said, I know there are some justifiable reasons to boot someone. However, that is not the way it is used by-and-large in the game currently.)
I agree with the OP. Give us some options for handling the looting that doesn't take away our ability to be an effective team member. As a cleric, it is really problematic for me. If it happens a lot, I usually ask via voice chat that looting wait until a lull in fighting, and I'll give the reason why, "I can't see to heal people!". It's amazing how little that seems to work, though. I'm so anti-kick (because of problems outlined here and elsewhere) that I am never gonna start a kick or something over it, but I do repeat it if necessary. As I said before, my luck with it isn't great, though.
I wish the loot popup could be smaller. Takes up too much viewing real estate. Luckily I do manage to finish my sequence of button presses before shifting my attention.
I would like to see them allow full GUI customization. move items where you want, it's really not that hard. this wont fix everything but it would help a lot.
I would also like them to remove the Dragon health bar/status effects from the screen if you don't attack the dragon, it soooo annoying when I'm running around (not even in the dragons area) and I have to deal with a giant status effect box covering my screen.

I was told the PC players had the option to at least resize it. Do you have any sort of options for it?
