Advice For TR

najicatourenajicatoure Member Posts: 21 Arc User
Hi all,
Ive been playing NW for about a month now and while ive been level 60 for 3 weeks of that (yeah, I binged it that much!), im still not entirely sure of what I "should" be doing, when I dont have any quests readily available to me. In addition to that, Ive been trying to increase my gear score and make my TR a decent PvE Epic Dungeon goer. Here's my issue...I dont really know the comparison between classes, nor do I know what a TR needs to be buffed on. I literally log in, do all my quests, queue for dungeons and help my friends do their quests. I dont ever PvP, but im open to it.

As of now, I am wearing full swash gear, ancient shiv and ceremonial in both hands, the barbaric, draconic, shore set of 3 accesories, I have a blue Owl artifact belt. My paragon is Whisperknife (since I didnt know that it really mattered what I chose at the time). I have a Vorpal and Soulforged enchantment, a cruel, blackice, and brutal enchantment and a dark enchantment running. Lastly, I have greater defense and deflect kits reenforcing 2 of my items. Mind you, I only got these things because of other forums Ive read. I notice a few things....I dont do "alot" of damage at one time, but with my roll, I tend to deal out the most damage in most skirmishes and dungeons...though I tend to take the most damage as well. Like seriously. I find that when I get hit...I seriously get hit. Hard. My health goes down quickly. If it werent for soulforged, im usually the first to go down. I dont like to attack from afar, I usually melee, right up and personal. I probably should have been a tank, the stealth thing was just really enticing. Haha. Anyway...I digress.

Is there something that I can be doing to increase the time I am up, lower the damage I am taking, or just overall be more durable in battle? Please advise.

I appreciate the help guys. Also, I am always looking for people to play with, so message me your gamertag and lets do this!

Don't pull. It's real simple. If the adds get on you, stealth and try to lose aggro. You can kite them back towards gf, cw, dc.. whoever. You should be able to tank boss, sometimes absent of a tank, that's your job. It's easier than the actual tanking that takes place during heavy add boss fights. Learn the boss and roll out of red if you have too. Keep his attention off the players fighting adds. If you aggro the adds, pull them back towards that fight. Big thing is to be careful when you roll so you dont pull more than they want to fight. Roll towards the main fight. When in doubt, roll at the tank or dc.
