Hi, first of all I would like to have you know my english might be faulty due to english being my second language. I hope I'll get the message out to you anyway.
I wish this thread sticks to relevent facts, and by relevent I mean 60, full epic pvp where you come in a 1vs1 encounter with a rogue. No whining from a lvl 15 GWF about how OP Control Wizards are, that is far from relevent.
TL&DR: I would like this thread to be from CWs to CWs about Rogues, in a lvl 60 full epic 1vs1 scenario.
I play mostly pvp, going Renegade and have a sweet 30% crit chance and make a fairly good performance most of the time in bgs.
I know pretty much what to do in most scenarios I might come into while doing pvp, I fairly know every spell the other classes use and what to do to counter them. But Rogues surprise me sometimes, I know they have this, sorry for wow-term, cloak of shadow-spell which makes them immune to CC. It's really good, but it's not OP, imo.
However, last bg I went I encountered something VERY disturbing. I was in a 1vs1 encounter with a rogue, he was stealthed and I started to run away from him so he would not be able to strike me from stealth. But he simply ignored my kiting and started to throw his daggers at me, while still being in stealth, he threw all his daggers at me.
This resulted in a scenarion where I could not see him, could not run from him and he did 75% of my hp without using a single encounter spell.
With an arriving friend I managed to kite him and kill him, I quickly forgot what happened and moved on.
Later in that bg pretty much the same thing happend, but worse, I found myself facing the very same rogue, alone. This time he had broken his stealth on someone else and did not have the advantage of it.
I will summarize what happened: He popped his "cloak of shadows"-spell, and started to jump towards me. Yes, jump. and while jumping he threw his daggers at me, doing ****loads of damage. I just paniced, didn't know what to do. A CC-immune, dagger-throwing monster, jumping at me at surprisingly a greater speed than I can run while saving his rolls for when I blink.
Have enyone else encountered the same thing? I also wish to say that they are probably crit-immune while their "cloak of shadows" is up, I haven't landed a single crit on rogues while they are black as the night. So I can't answer their dagger-throwing with my own spells because I don't do a **** in damage.
Can someone please give me some enligtment on what's happening? Should I be able to save myself from this scenario and kill the ******* or are the rogues just simply better than CW's once they discover this trick?
