Psychic Prowess Trait Working??

All my attempts to determine if the Mind Mage Psychic Prowess trait works have failed to return any evidence that it works.

My test method was to use a single summon and mouse over to view its DPS/HP and then cast different spells, knowing that the other traits have a 2 minute cool down I took this into consideration. However, along side this test, there are a few cards that buff creatures +x/+x and used the mouse over to view the changes and they do indeed change DPS/HP as the card is active buff.

So my curiosity got the best of me and on a second character using the exact same card rank creature, I summoned it without even having the trait and the DPS/HP is exactly the same as the character with the trait, just to see if maybe its a passive buff even though I do know it states the +1/+1 proc occurs when a spell is cast.

If I am wrong, can we please have some indicator on our creatures when active buffs are actually on them or not?
