People in "Alpha Centauri" have made a point on something. Onslaught Supervillains can still cripple us, right? Preventing blocking? What if they manage to get someone flagged, then they disable that person's blocking, and then Clarence strikes? I'm happy that someone's attempting to fix this situation with Onslaught…
Er... there's nothing being given away here, or being made easier (aside from being 100% sure of what one is doing I suppose, though we could be sleepy). The idea's simply that things still remain locked to the account, but they aren't stuck on a character 'til one equips it. ...and this part, the issue was a mistaken…
I think a point was missed. I don't want to make it so we can trade the set to different characters as needed like heirloom gear. I want it to be so the gear is "Bind to Account on Pickup" (to prevent trading or selling the gear to others, which I assume is a reason it's "Bind on Pickup" right now), AND "Bind to Character…
The only bright side is I could sell the mistake for another 321,315 resources towards the 5,000,000 I need to fix Xel. JUSTICE TIGHTS OF FITNESS This famous equipment is infused with the spirit of the original Justice Squadron. "Right, here ya go Karneeki, another piece of scrap, thanks for the change." Goodbye 8 tokens...
Actually I'm doing this stuff at level 40, but yes, I know, the lesser mooks aren't usually worth the hassle. Mainly I try to aim for villain and enforcer-rank targets, like those annoying Powered Armor enemies, so they don't keep bouncing people around with the instant version of their Rocket Pack salvos. I'm just happy…
People who I've teamed with might say otherwise, for the targets that control does work on... er... for the duration at least. The time it takes to charge things up though, that's what this's all mostly about. Also a thought occurs to me. During my time back in DDO, hold spells essentially had charge time as well, longer…
Imagine seeing an actual mind control power for once. Such a thing should've been in here ages ago, what with telepathy being a thing. I like the idea, naturally. I agree with Spinny though, the penalties need not be that severe... and I especially love the thought of it being an actual decent debuff against players, even…
Actually, the sliders have no effect on the size of beams, from the looks of things, but certain sliders like chest depth affected the angle a Plasma Beam fired at in the past. I'm not sure if it's a thing anymore, but I guess I can find out since I've been convinced to go ahead n' use Plasma Beam myself, at a friend's…
Y'know now that I think about it, something based off of the vehicle version of Plasma Beam could work. Maybe a bit thinner, and well... the idea's welding, so it'd be nice if it did something more than just damage. Gotta think about reasons to use a welding tool against the enemy.
Those could only be the numbers of someone sidekicked down. I'm personally using Legion's Gloves with two Justice gears, all rank 7 Presence mods, and Vigilante secondary gear, for a total of 719 Presence, and my Aura of Arcane Clarity is at a max of +35%/23% for me, and +90%/17% for teammates.
But it can't JUST be stuns... EDIT: Bah, screw the game and all the nerfs. This's fighting a lost cause I suppose, but hell, crowd control and debuffing is all I really care about. It's the only thing I actually enjoy... I'll just hope I'm making a difference for people, but I'm gonna stick to my guns 'til they're nerfed…
Why do I keep saying they're immune like that? I should say that the effect is really difficult for me to notice. I can only make attempts and pray I make a difference, but I'm not sure I am. 'Course the target's a boss... Maybe I just need some tough mooks to deal with that make control and debuffing desirable and/or…
Even the version I saw elsewhere could take hours on a bad day, but it's not 100% consistent. It'd need some sort of trial run, but I think new players at the least would give it a shot, and moreso, people who don't like the randomness of a queue system. Also yeah, Brou, I know, the team search does show the leader's…
I'm thinking more along the lines that they just don't speak up when help is requested. Of course the people exist. They're talking all the time, and... wait... are you guys assuming this idea is only going to involve the specific zone and/or instance you're currently in and no other? Someone else assumed there was some…
Wait, how would giving people a better method of getting parties together for missions and such make them more depressed about the ghost zones? Also the game's queuing system can't tell people that a team's looking for something specific, like a tanker or a healer... but that's not the point. I'm not talking about queues.…
I could've sworn certain skin and costume part shades are already the same... Heck, some people manage to make themselves look nearly or completely naked. I've seen people who look like they have nothing but stickers covering them... ...but I'm getting off-topic here. Yes, we need more shades like vermillion... and perhaps…
I never really got into crafting at the time 'cause I was still super-indecisive, and I tend to live off just one character... though that's changed now. I wasn't aware that involved that much work, but it'd still be better than idling about all the time. I have little to no interest in PvP or roleplaying.
I suppose you've got a point there, yes (I'll admit "bias" isn't a word I think about enough, I'll look up the meaning)... though I do wonder just how reliant on this button-mashing energy generation people are. How often do people-- no wait, people probably virtually never use energy-draining advantages... ... ...…
Do not twist my thoughts. I have little interest in PvP, yes, but I don't hate it. In fact, I am only not getting into the Hero Games and duels because my ways do not allow me to succeed in those areas. If my main was set up to be capable of survival in it, I would consider getting into the Hero Games more often... and I…
Well ajanus, I think I've got the look down, yes. Heh... Curse the internet for making me look too red in the face... It looks perfectly fine elsewhere. I might be confused on power choices because as nice as having, say... Conflagration, Lightning Storm, and Avalanche all at once might be, it's just a tad wasteful, since…
Ha! Gadroon Pacifier being on par with a Draysha Enforcer... that'd be almost amusing. Anyway though, that response... felt better than the previous ones. You choose your words well, Bluhman. I have my personal opinions on the matter of gaining energy from enemy control effects, and I'd still like to at least see how…
Whoa there, Raven, I'm not really suggesting we should lose energy. I'm a neutral drow, not an evil one, heh... I know I said: but I also said: I wasn't seriously saying "I want button-mashing out of a hold to cost energy", I just meant that it made more sense than gaining energy for struggling out of the effects. I…
...Why are you thinking of duels and the Hero Games here...? This isn't about PvP, nor should it ever be determined by such matters. PvP is a big ol' minigame on the side of the main stuff... and I'm not trying to cause a dent in it, but it really isn't going to get them killed. They can also gain energy from using their…
"Earth Tomb" could work too, yes. Really, it's just the idea of the power that I want to see added to the game, of course, not necessarily the exact name.
Don't be too sure of that. I must not have seen this thread, though I don't regularly read over the forum, either. I've got too much other junk on my mind... like the entirety of the internet. That gets pretty distracting. I would definitely love to see this as well, but I suppose letting people buy aura slots that are…
It's probably better to post in an existing thread, no matter how many months old, if it's still the same idea you were talking about before, right? For the longest time, I never saw, or used, the Eruption device, but now that I have my own copy of it... well....... what about that for an Earth powerset Incapacitate…
I'll admit that I too would like to see something extra for Aura of Arcane Clarity, to balance it in comparison to the other auras' usefulness, 'cause I often felt like I wasn't making any difference, though I don't mind it too much in its current state, and I've had cases of a friend or two going "NOOOOOO" when I thought…
Decided to quit messin' around with the whole 668-Presence aura setup. Switching it all over to Ego instead, and though I would kinda like to do something a bit different, well... ... ... okay this is different FOR ME at least. My good buddy James helped me with the finishing touches, and reorganized it in line with…
I'll... probably let someone else handle the roleplaying aspect of the group. I think I just like being surrounded by magic. I'm not exactly a roleplayer, despite my character's description. I was chatting with a old friend of mine, saying that I was going back to CO from DDO, and taking the idea of a drow wizard with me,…
Getting interested in the idea of an earth elemental again. Might as well revive this old suggestion, since it'd be nice to see a good Earth hold... aside from Cave In stunning foes affected by Stagger. The only thing I can think of for the way I wanted to do things is to use Fault Line with its Compound Fracture advantage…
I can vouch for this. The effect of lesser things like defense from an Impact Prism rises really slowly as you go up through the ranks... though at the same time, I'm aware that Defense is more valuable per point than Offense, moreso nowadays, but still... I'm guessing these small bonuses are increasing by an invisible…
Okay well the STYLE of the old crafting system was interesting at least. Time-consuming perhaps, but much more interesting than mod fusion. I'll agree the results of crafting could be more useful, at least in the case of equipment. Wouldn't mind being able to craft devices, even if they're charged variants only. All we can…
Boo. None of you recognized the sarcasm laced throughout that post. I first joined back in January 2011 when this went free-to-play. I once went by the handle @JeffBurton. Seriously though, we do need that crafting system back.
Huh... I'm kinda surprised honestly that so many people seem to think Ao'Qephoth is broken. I mean... I know, he heals a lot, when he's allowed to heal, though as we're aware, all you really have to do is block his drains. The only problem cases I see might be Radiation Rumble and Pyramid Power which MIGHT possibly…
Aw c'mon, 60 glances and not one person's thoughts on this? Meh... maybe I'll just go with the Primal style. This was made for fun, after all, and I can't picture a tanker relying on breath attacks keeping the enemy's attention very easily.
I usually try to go for a balance of fun and efficiency at the same time, though with how much I hate energy management issues though, but knowing the usefulness of other things, I almost feel like using Aura of Primal Majesty just to cover it all. Maybe Constitution, Strength and Presence... If I use an aura, I make sure…
...I had thoughts of doing a D&D-inspired chaos dragon. Their breath weapon is random, so I planned to take Fire, Wind, Frost and Venomous Breath (with advantages to give each one a purpose), and some Terak Generators for Lightning Breath (even though the damage is feeling no better than secondary hits from my energy…
Actually, from what I'm reading, the Terak Static Core is more like Sparkstorm, but I could be wrong. I know however that it's the Terak Generator that's our electric breath attack, though it feels like its damage is really poor. I'm going to wait 'til level 20 and equip my next one, see if there's any change (I know…
...You need to try a little harder to make the existing breath attacks look like vomiting. The magma idea might, unless it's bright enough, but that's about it... Was that a serious reply?
I should pay more attention to the forum. It's amusing how people only really get interested in things when they're gone. I'm..... going to read more of this thread, yes, but some time ago, I wanted to start up Champedia.wikia.com, though it went nowhere fast, and due to how long nothing was happening (My fault too of…
Heh... Actually, after chatting with some people in the "CoX" channel, and skimming over the net, I saw an old entry on the CO site about a "Champedia", which is long since dead. Since they're not using that name anymore, and there's no wiki by that name, there we go. http://champedia.wikia.com Now I just need to refresh…
Unfortunately I'm drawing a blank for a name, and someone pointed out that the "Nexus" is a large modding community, so there goes my thought of somehow putting my group name, "The Nexus", into it... though honestly I need a better group name anyway. Maybe someone could start slinging wiki names out here?
This isn't a disconnection issue, yet... but Vibora Bay is starting to be affected by some problems. For example, I can activate my travel powers, and I see the animations, but I gain no benefit. I can't fly, and I don't move any faster. The last place I saw this happening was on Monster Island. Not sure of the state of…
I think the problems are starting to spread. I'm currently out on Monster Island, and I can activate my travel powers, but they provide no benefit. Also Flight keeps flickering on n' off. Moved out to Vibora Bay. Things seem to be normal...
