  • TK and force provide the best looking options imo. I fooled around with heavy weapons, munitions and such, but (sadly) there are no tansparent options for normal weapons. Pyromancers blades might be an option.
  • I asked pretty much the same question recently. http://co-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=196401 I got some good responses. The build Cyrone posted is melee focused, but quite fun and effective.
  • I'm a little surprised that you don't have the force sheath advantage on your block.
  • It does seem pretty unlikely that this game will ever achieve any real balance. There are just too many moving parts and possible combinations. The choice to add another layer of complexity with the specialization trees seems like a sign that the designers have given up on trying to balance the game in a meaningful way.…
  • Nice! Looks like a fun build Cyrone, I'll be trying this out. I was thinking of adding some ego-melee to my build (for theme) anyway...so this seems about right to me. I just wish they had some more visually interesting ego weapon options. Thanks muchly!
  • Oh, I get 5?! Well.... Fat set gets 2. Energy weapons gets 1. A set inspired by Jack Kirby's work gets 1. We need more blaster headbands, geometric helmets (think galactus and juggernaut), and other kirby-esque strangness. and shields gets 1 (although I'd like to see this as a power set even more).
  • I really like the idea of a fat set. I was saddened when I realized I couldn't make a really chubby toon. Also, energy weapons... and by that I mean transparent (and potentially glowy) weapons of all kinds. Suitable for energy/magical constructs, or as transparent ice/crystal weapons.
  • Thanks Ravenforce! Looks a bit like a build I was running (before I decided to give PFF another try). I was using seraphim, MSA, and a protection field. It didn't feel like I was getting alot out of MSA (I may not have had enough cooldown powers). However, the damage boost from seraphim was quite appreciable. I also tried…
  • Cyrone, I posted a build for my PFF toon as "1st freeform champ" in builds and roles. I suspect the build needs more than a little work. But, even one or two nuggets of advice would be much appreciated. BTW, I think I saw one of your toons (the one shown in your posts) dueling in ren-center. Far and away the most…
  • Thanks for the input Kallethen! Much appreciated. Yeah, I got that dodge stacking memo from Cyrone's post. I know that PFF has gone through some changes of late though... and I'm pretty fuzzy on how it works now. But yeah I'll bug Cyrone about it on his thread, or try to do some indipendant research:eek:. I started another…
  • PowerHouse (Link to this build) Name: Archetype: Freeform Super Stats: Level 6: Intelligence (Primary) Level 10: Ego (Secondary) Level 15: Recovery (Secondary) Talents: Level 1: The Radiant Level 6: Brilliant Level 9: Academics Level 12: Negotiator Level 15: Wordly Level 18: Command Training Level 21: Field Ops Training…
  • You might be right about the become devices. The ones I've seen have been kinda lame though... become dark demon of darkness, and such. Where's mah eleyphunt gurdurnit?! Maybe a body control powerset. With giant growth, shrinking, desolidification, density increase, and stretching. Add a travel power that makes your toon's…
  • Shapeshifting! This seems like the most unique powerset idea. I can't currently turn into an elephant and stomp around... and that just isn't right.:frown: Force Melee! I'm thinking green lantern-esque force constructs here, with massive energy fists and Hammers. An active offense/defense that gives your toon a big armored…
  • So, PFF benefits from resistances now?! Did I understand your post correctly?
  • So protection field is layered under PFF? My eyeballs clearly state that it is a big bubble surrounding my PFF... these eyeballs of mine, they really are a couple of jokers. Seems like a PFF user should eschew defense in favor of dodge/avoidance. Protection field benefits from dodge/avoid too right? It really…
