So is this an "Event" where it's something that will only be playable by players for a limited period of time and not be playable at all times by any player who wishes it (example: I cannot run the Lemurian Event at this time), or will this be a permanent addition to the game that I can play at all and any time? I ask in…
Just wanted to chime in that I've had this issue too and it cost me the $10/month deal I had gotten back in September. I was nonplussed over that. I reported this to Support, which sent it to Billing, and after a week and a half, I got back a song and dance about some "error" on my end which suddenly meant their attempt to…
Penny Arcade Expo. This is the East Coast PAX, held in Boston every March or April the last few years, while PAX Prime (the original) is held in I think Seattle every August. It's kind of a big deal, since most conventions for video gaming are industry shows where it's a bunch of guys talking shop and marketing doing it's…
Yeah, that's kind of the appeal of the art. I did it back in CoH (as seen by the gallery in my link) and probably will in CO as well with Crow Call/Red Crow. She's been a voice kicking me in the head for about four and a half years now, and I'm fond of the little pain in the neck and see her in comics. Have quite a few…
Oh I knew about those. It's more that Killer Soviet Dolphin Commandos (with Knives!) sounds like a Sci-Fi Channel movie. ... or reality jumping the shark.
Yeah, I hit the same thing. Not sure on the heat levels, but the graphics card issues. Simply put, I've tried the Harbinger fight about eight times. I've never completed it, because every single time my machine locks up and freezes and I have to do a hard reboot. This, by the way, is with my graphics set so low I can…
I've not been able to successfully complete a SINGLE Bleak Harbinger bossfight, despite trying now a dozen times. Every time I attempt, my machine locks up and freezes during the bossfight. And it's only during the bossfight, but it forces me to do a hard reboot.
Tried that. Still crashed in the fight with the Bleak Harbinger. Machine freezes, there's a tone, then it goes black with stripes. Can someone please help me? This is insane. I'm now afraid to run ANY mission, out of fear it'll wreck up my machine by forcing me to do more hard reboots.

I was incorrect. It is now happening ALL THE TIME. I'll be in game for five minutes, then BAM! Computer locks up. This happens in no other games, even more complex and advanced ones. Only CO does this, but it is rapidly becoming unplayable. Never had this before, and been playing for six months. Been looking around, and…
Feels different than heat. With heat, it's been a hard shut down. And the thing is, it's ONLY in boss-fights. I could play content for hours and it'll be fine. Fight the Bleak Harbinger? It freezes up. Might try upgrading my video drivers, see if that helps. But specs AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz 4.00 GB RAM…
... okay, that's actually kinda nifty looking. Question now: will this Bleak Harbinger fight stick around post-April 1st, like, can we still run the actual content here with the whole battle against the giant monster AFTER the event ends?
Because they tend to get slaughtered by the waves of enemies and bosses that aimed at level 30s or 40s. I found this during the Megadestroid event and the Nighthawk event. Your level 15 or 20 is about as useful as, well, a lowbie on an alert. My experience with the Nighthawk event was being batted around or one-shotted by…
Define permanent. Permanent as in the event switch will be flipped again at some point, like Blood Moon, or Permanent as in we can run this whenever we want in six months? I hate events. They punish people who aren't tricked and geared out with 40s, or are busy that week.
That's my thought as well. Combine the event missions into an arc, or something repeatable. If need be, rejig the rewards on the permanent version. Or heck, leave them in so people can have a chance at getting a vehicle in-game. Just seems like a lot of work to just throw it all down the drain like a dead goldfish by…
In my head, the Lemurian Tank looks like a glass fishbowl with tank treads, side mounted cannons, and a very angry looking goldfish floating inside. Possibly the Derpy Goldfish from the Mom's Basement Hideout.
The launcher is finally activating at all, but it's going super-super-slow. I put in my password a few minutes ago. Still waiting for it to get past "Loading launcher" EDIT: Wait, nevermind. Back to "Trying to update the launcher."
Aah. Which actually sounds more complex than just fiddling with a color doohickey in the CC, in terms of code and programming. They'd have to change how devices work with the code.
I sadly do not have the records, though I think late October. Like the last week of it, I think. Maybe October 27th-ish? It was right when they first put the bikes on PTS when they first had the ability to show their riders. Can someone else here remember the dates, or manage catch screenshots of this? Kicking myself for…
There was a bug of sorts early on in the testing of Grav Bikes, where the Hip Attachment Point (or something like that) was visible in the costume creator under Legs. By the looks of it, was the cheat of sort that made heroes appear as riding their bikes. But when you changed the colors of the Hip Attachment Point, the…
Don't think there are any out and out Nazi supervillains anymore, really. They're an unpopular bunch, especially among the Germans (I cannot emphasize this enough. Modern Germans hate the Nazis). VIPER is it's own thing, but works for the Big Evil Supervillain Army, though it's closer to Arachnos. Probably looted a lot of…
Earth is kind of the Monster Island of the galaxy, sometimes. Or the corner where the really weird, scary stuff is kept where everyone hopes one of the monsters doesn't turn it's gaze outwards.
If I remember the lore right (and I probably don't), the Elder Worms are also space aliens. Just space aliens that use black magic and telepathy instead of super-science and super-tech. Earth was a minor backwater outpost of the Worms (at best) during their war with the Malvans and Star*Guard (the setting's equivalent to…
You also need to factor in the effect of the Questionite market. A fair number of players earn Zen by selling Questionite. If Player A gets his monthly 500 Z and sells it on the market to Player B, and then Player B uses that Zen to go and buy stuff, it removes a possible mode of profit for the company. Without the market,…
Am a little concerned about it saying that the end result of this will be a new custom alert. How many missions, with stories and content, will be created and then discarded forever in this event? How many arcs? How much stuff to do... All so the legacy of it is... one little Custom Alert. That we blaze through in like...…
That's true in anything. There's always something people miss, or for some reason the code decides to behave differently on Live than in Test, just because that's how life works. It's always fun in programming when you hear the programmers go "Never seen it do that before."
Interesting. What are you up to? Yeah, kind of my feeling. Even turning the Nighthawk event missions and story arc into, say, a mini-adventure pack would be pretty spiffy. Strip out the Nighthawk Event reward and put in standard Adventure Pack rewards or whatever is appropriate. I'm not fond of flash in the pan, one-shot…
That's kind of how I feel too. Heck, I'd love to have the Nighthawk event missions back, with a standard reward at the end instead of the Nighthawk event reward. Make it say, the equivalent of a daily custom alert run in rewards. Which is a bit low given how tricky that mission at the end of Nighthawk is, but we're running…
Hope your Holidays were a good one. :) And yeah, if they could change the flag on the Winter costume bits, like the new Steampunk pieces, so they can be traded, that'd be awesome. I've got like... 2 Electro-Gauntlets and 3 Pointy Mustaches I'd love to trade. That said, the new costume pieces are really nice looking.
Grond becomes overcome with the spirit of Christmas and we must help him find a hat and beard big enough for him to play Santa to the Irradiate girls and boys.
A full four days after it starts, then vanishes less than a week later. And that day it actually drops? Christmas Day. When many players will be with their families, and the next six days are some of the busiest retail and travel days of the year. So we have this flash in the pan event that's only when many people are…
But the Holiday event currently doesn't do anything. I think it's broken. We can't collect presents, can't turn them in, there's no bad guys to fight. The event is decidedly uneventful.
